I worked in a five star hotel but as room service though. I wasn't happy about the snobby rich people who treated me like a peace of bubble gum rap but at least it payed very well, I could feed myself and cas and i could maintain the bills so that's all that was important.
I hurried to catch up with cas who was already in her car checking her makeup in the rear front mirror. "You look good girl" she said. I rolled my eyes at her and slammed the door shut " can you just do your job mrs taxi driver " I said. She kisses her teeth and started the engine. "Girl the silence in here is louder than miss Drew's yelling, put on a nice song or something." I said reaching for the radio.
"I don't have a CD neither a USB" she said. "Cas are you in the 90s.girl connect to your Spotify. Lemmi connect to mine" i said. "Oh yeah" she said dumb founded. I gave her a side eye and began to chuckle to myself. "Ok. Lemmi play some summer walker" I said as the song (session 32) began playing. I sang along until Cas tapped me on the arm." We are here. So get your loud ass out of my car" she said. " You are so obsessed with me " I said with a smirk "have a nice day" she said than drove off. I chuckled to myself and went inside the 11 story building.
I went to reception to greet Martha the receptionist "hi baby girl. How are you today?" She happily said. "I'm good as always how is Dave and the kids?" I asked. "Their all good" she said with a smile. "Where's Nathan? Did he start without me?" I asked. "Nathan came in just a few minutes ago. I bet he is still waiting for you" she said . " Okay I'll get on going. have a nice day beautiful" i smirked and left.
I took my cart, went in the elevator and I heard someone yell "hold the door!" So I put my foot between the elevator doors and a hand pushed them open again. Two man came in wearing suits one had a bald head and the other had dreads. I love myself a dread head. I rolled my cart aside inorder to give them space. The bold one looked at me and said "thank you so much for holding the door for us". I looked at him with a small smile "it's no big deal."
The dread head just looked at me from head to toe and continued scrolling through his phone🙄. Wow I should've let this mother fucker close on him. They began talking about a meeting and soon they reached their floor and got out. Ah I hate snobby rich people, especially the ones that think their superior over others, and by others I mean poor ol''me.
I reached my floor and got out. "Omg you are soooo late" Nathan said while adjusting his apron. "I'm not late you are just early" I smirked. He kissed his teeth and threw a clip board at me. "What is this?" I asked. "Those are your rooms for the month" he said "but theres only one room here. "What ! Lemmi see. Ow maybe it's a typo, let's go ask Pablo" he said while putting on another layer of gloss."are we going to ask or are you going to flirt with him" i laughed.
"Maybe, maybe not, I'm a man full of surprises honey. Now let's go" he took the lead while striking off his cat walk. I rolled my eyes as I followed him.
