It was an ardous and a long journey. Long time ago, there was a naive girl who experienced her first awakening of love when she was fifteen. She loved a guy for two years and confessed, only to be rejected cruelly, yet nothing could stop her love for him. Even if he doesn't love me, I'll love him and end ensures his happiness, she vowed.

And so, in her quest for his love, she spend thirteen years of her life, loving and protecting him from the shadows, living her life solely for him.Little did she know, fate had the most cruellest thing prepared for her.

After being told by the doctor that she only had three months left to live, her only wish was to have one last dinner with the man whom she devoted her entire life to, a man who was her world.  How pitiful that when the man finally appeared for the dinner, he casually said  few sentences which brought an end to her very existence .

"Catarina Krust, I'm getting married so don't bother me again. I rejected you in the past and I still will no matter how much you've changed. I never loved you and I never will."

Her taut heartstrings snapped and she felt pain like she never felt before. She thought she was already used to his cold and cruel, heartless words and attitude.  So why does it still hurt? Why does her chest still feel the burning sting of his words? Why does her tears still pour out of something dry and barren?

Catarina Krust could still hear the cold, cruel and ruthless words of Nikolai Sardov ringing in her head. It was like her nightmare demon mocking her. Only this time, the nightmare came alive

She realized just how pathetic and miserable her life was when she was on her death bed. She lived her entire life and worked hard all for a man who couldn't even spare her a single glance, lest loving her.

For all those years she spent loving him, protecting him and ensuring his happiness,  all she wanted was a simple dinner with him. That was what he owe her at least. Even a good dog deserves a treat at the end of the day. But she was worth less than a dog. He couldn't even spare her a dinner or a smile for all those years she sacrificed for him.

So she flip the table.

She woke up from that vain dream of having his smile one day.

She decided that it was enough.

But it was already too late when she realized. Life was escaping her fast and swift.

How great would it be only if I could get a second chance,  the sorrowful soul sighed before closing her sane and beautiful eyes forever filled with deep regret.  Or Not.

Catarina Krust felt as if she was at the centre of a whirlpool where her body was vacummed and pulled and stretched and folded making her nauseous. She was lost and confused on what was happening to her.

After what felt like eternity, Catarina Krust finally opened her eyes in abject horror and relief and what greeted her was not the white ceiling of the hospital nor the pink ceiling of her room in the Klaus Estate. It was a brown and tattered old ceiling, with the winds blowing by the old wooden windows. She was stunned by what she saw.

Where is this? This room is so old.
Wait... Why does this look so familiar?

Catarina Krust stood up from the old creaking bed and walked towards the open window. For some reason, she felt that her body was so heavy and uncomfortable. Hmm.. My health's getting worse. Anthony will be worried, she thought amusedly. But what she saw next shocked the very life out of her. Mom!!!? That's MOM!!!

Catarina Krust could still remember that day when her mother didn't return back after a trip. She thought that she had been abandoned, but she never gave up on searching for her mother. It was unfortunate that she never got any news about her for the past years.

But what was her mother doing out there in the garden? How could she be there?! How is that possible?!

Did God grant her one last goodwill before ending her miserable like?

Seeing her mother, tears welled up in Catarina Krust's eyes. She turned around to head to the garden only to see something which shocked her even more. What was that!? There on the mirror perched next to the door was a fat girl with round eyes and thick long hair who was looking back at her. Catarina Krust was stupified.

Wasn't hat how she looked when she was a teenager?! Who pasted that picture there? No it was not a picture, it was moving. Wait.

Catarina Krust lifted her heavy arms to touch her face and the person in the mirror did the same. WHAT!!!

She walked closer to the mirror and gasped in shock and horror at what she was seeing. A younger version of herself who seems to be moving dud the same back to her. She was stupefied and stood frozen in the place.
