JJ MAYBANK

I can't believe they were actually gone, it just doesn't seem real. All I could to was just think about the happy memories we had with them. While Pope is chopping wood from the tree, I'm standing next to Harper and Kie until Pope was done, once he was done I grabbed at a screwdriver and torch to add John B's name in the middle of the of the tree.

" To John B." I raised my flask.

" And to Sarah." Kie said softly.

As Kie was putting the box in the ground I headed inside the Chateau to the sounds of banging and glass breaking.

" Ocean?" I yelled.

OCEAN ROUTLEDGE

I couldn't bare being out there with the rest of the pogues, I didn't want to believe that John B was gone. I was angry. I was hurting. There was no way I would be able to admit to him being gone. I started to grow more angry at myself to the point where I was throwing things and shattering things all around my room. Glass all over the floor from a broken picture frame that had a picture of John B and I when we were little. I went to pick it up when some part of the glass sliced the palm of my hand.

" Shit!" I cried in pain.

I heard the front door open and someone yell my name.

" Ocean?" I heard but I didn't reply.

I continued to throw things around my room until there was nothing else left to throw or break. And that is when my door opened.

" Ocean, what the hell is going on?" I turn over to see JJ.

" This is all my fault." I cried.

" This is not your fault." JJ walked towards me.

" I could've stopped him, I could've prevented this from happening."  I explained.

" Ocean, look at me." I continue to breakdown. " Hey, look at me." JJ grabs my face. " There was nothing we could, we didn't know this was gonna happen okay."

"But.." I started.

" But...nothing." JJ looks at my hand. " Let's go get you cleaned up and find something to distract you from all of this."

JOHN B

" Sarah." I whispered.

" Hmm?" she mumbled with her eyes closed.

" Do you want to get married?" I asked.

" No." with a smile on her face.

" No?" I was confused.

" No." she confirmed.

" Well, how come?" I continue to ask questions.

" You don't have any prospects." Sarah admitted.

" You don't have any prospects either." I said back.

" Ouch." she said.

" Well, anymore." I added.

" So it's not about the money?" she asked.

" Well, I guess not. You're pretty good-looking." I admitted.

" Stop." Sarah chuckled and elbowed.

" I'm serious. Now come here." I pull her closer to me.

" I'm trying to sleep." she complained.

" You wanna be a Pogue for life?" I looked at her.

" If I say yes, you're not allowed to die." She looks back at me.
