We were driving on a dirt road in the Irish countryside. I saw some cows on a field and some mountains in the horizon. We finally drove to a driveway in front of an old stone house with a little porch. The house was probably built in the 1700s.
We both stepped out of the car and he took my bags as I explored the land. The house was surrounded by trees but when I walked to the backyard, I could see the ocean. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath of the salty air.
He opened the door, kept it open for me and closed it after we were both inside.
"Look around all you want, Ida", He smiled kindly. I gave him a little kiss on the cheek and started to look around the house while he went upstairs with my bags.
I was somehow surprised of how beautifully he had decorated his home. I walked thru the kitchen, then the living room and then saw that a one door was slightly closed. Maybe that's his office, I thought as I pushed the white wooden door open gently. His office was decorated with plants, candles and big vintage dark brown bookshelves and all his instruments were placed in one corner next to an old piano. I took a quick look on his writing table and noticed that he had left something on it, his notebook, wide open and the same greek mythology book that I had. The book had a library ticket laying on top of it and I read it, he had borrowed the book yesterday. I also took a look on his notebook just out of curiosity. He had written down lyrics to a song called 'Talk' and I read every single word.
"I'd be the voice that urged Orpheus when her body was found", I read quietly out loud. He remembered the story I told him. He is so adorable, I thought to myself.
I put the notebook down and walked upstairs to his bedroom where he was putting my clothes into his closet. I walked behind him and hugged him.
"I'd be the immediate forgiveness in Eurydice, image being loved by me", I whispered into his ear softly quoting the lyrics I read from his notebook.
He turned around smiling and with a little startled expression.
"You found my writing, huh?" He chuckled nervously.
"Since when have you been interested in greek mythology?" I smiled with a teasing tone.
He rolled his eyes and kissed me softly on my forehead.
"You'll have to play that one for me", I laughed.
"Trust me darling, I will sometime", He smirked as he took my hand and led me to downstairs.
His living room was enlightened by the golden sunset. We both sat on his couch. I couldn't look away from his green eyes shining in the sunlight.
"Sunlight", I mumbled, mesmerised by his eyes. He looked at me for a moment. "Your love is sunlight", I said.
"What do you mean by that?" He asked in a calm voice, looking at me thru heavy eyelids.
I leaned on him, now resting my head on his chest as he wrapped his arms around me.
"Well, we humans are always reaching into the sunlight, it's obvious, we couldn't live without it. I think I couldn't live without you", I said quietly. I looked up at him and started playing with his hair. He didn't answer to that. I started to fear that I got too far and said something too serious.
"Andrew?" I asked quietly.
"Yes, Ida?" He answered.
"Why do you like me?"
He chuckled as he softly pet the back of my hand. I was relieved that I didn't scare him off.
"Well, the moment I stepped into the cafe, I noticed how beautiful you are and being in a same room with you, I could tell by your energy how interesting and loving person you are", He lifted my chin up and smiled at me with his eyes full of love. "I don't know that much about you yet but you have such a beautiful mind and a way of words, it's very fascinating. I just want to know more and more about you."
I smiled widely as I took in every word he said. Suddenly I felt the touch of his hand on my cheek as he kissed me softly. He held me tightly as I kissed him back more passionately. We both were enjoying this moment as the passion between us slowly grew.
"You are just the sweetest thing, Ida", He muffled between our lips. I let my every sense on him. I could feel his touch, hear his voice and taste him. As our kissing slowly ended I gave him a sensual kiss on his neck. He took a deep breath as he gave me a seductive smile.
It was now dark outside. He walked into the kitchen to get us some wine and something to eat as I sneaked into his office and grabbed an acoustic guitar. I sat on the couch and placed the guitar properly on my lap as I started playing a riff. He slowly walked out of the kitchen with two wine glasses and two plates of mushroom soup. He leaned towards the wall as he watched me play.
"It's just something I came up with, nothing too crazy", I shyly stopped playing.
"No, no, it's good. Very good. I sounded very lovely, I liked it", He smiled at me. I could feel that he was clearly interested.
He placed the glasses and the plates on the coffee table in front of the couch. We started eating and drinking.
"So", I started. "What is that 'Talk' song really about?" I asked as I couldn't get over it.
"Eh", He chuckled shyly and looked away. "It's basically about having many thoughts about a particular person and what would you do to them if given the chance but being afraid to reveal your true feelings."
He slowly looked back at me. Maybe he feels exactly the way I do, I thought.
"What kind of thoughts?" I asked with a calm voice.
He looked at me up and down and I couldn't help but start to giggle like a little girl again. Suddenly he stood up.
"I think it's time for bed", He said clearly avoiding my question. I laughed and rolled my eyes as I took his hand and we both went to bed.
