"Daddy, daddy!" Darcy exclaimed rushing over to sit on Harry's lap. "Tell us about how you met daddy again please!" she whined, swinging her short legs over the edge of his legs.

Harry gazed wistfully at his daughter before taking a long deep breathe. "Well, it was about six years ago..." He began.

Then, the memories began rushing back, the joy of getting put together as a group rang through his head like a tolling church bell. He remembered it so clearly, just as if it was yesterday. He had just been told he was not going through to the judges house so he was standing backstage with his mum, her arms wrapped snugly around his shoulder as she whispered in his ear comforting words. No words could ease the pain, just as they were walking out of the building he was called back to come onstage. He felt his mother's reassuring hand squeeze his shoulder once more before he walked back out onstage, his tearstained red face mirrored on the faces of all the boys. He heard Simon speak, although much of this part was a blur all he really remembered were those words "We've decided to put you through as a group" He hunched to the ground his face in his hands, it was all too good to be true, he certainly hadn't expected much but this was better than he had hoped. He could hear the other boys cheers as they jumped about onstage, just as content and surprised as he. He finally stood up and locked eyes with the boys who would change his life forever. "No you'll have to work 12,13,14 hours a day for this. Are you ready?" Simon asked the groups. They all nodded earnestly before heading off to celebrate the amazing news.

It was all up from there, first was the judges house, then the live shows and video diaries. These boys became closer than anyone would have thought possible, they laughed together, they cried together, they had fun together, they sang together, and they performed together. Now Harry had become especially close to one boy in the band, he was his best mate his newfound friend for life. As they went through the X-Factor placing third in the competition they cried together and they celebrated together once they were signed. They went through interviews as brothers, friends, as family. Also, there for each other and never judging.

His friendship with that one boy only grew stronger, he felt a bond with this boy as he had felt with no one before. He made him laugh when no one else could, he comforted him when he missed his home and family and he soon grew to be known as his own family. They were there for each other through the tours, the albums, the songs, the girlfriends. They got tattoos together to prove that they weren't growing apart, instead they were growing an even stronger bond. All the hardships they were put through only strengthened that bond to a point where nothing would be able to break it, not management, not relationships, not magazines, nor tabloids.

Soon he realized just why he felt so connected to this one boy. It started out as a drunken "I really like you." slurred as they stumbled out of taxi cabs. It grew to sloppily placed kisses here and there when no one was looking. That soon progressed even farther into nights spent together. They shared everything and anything, no one, no thing could tear these two apart. They eventually began dating, the kisses no longer secret, the "I love you's" announced on live television and in tabloids. Everyone was behind them, they were as strong as they were close, they had a bond that was unbreakable. There soon after, those bonds were formalized in the exchanging of rings and vows and promises of a life together, together forever. All good things must come to an end, a thing too shortly realized for this young couple. A few aches and pains and doctors visits later and soon they were saying the "I love you's" from inside a sterile white room.

Then, it became to hard to say and they were no longer exchanged, only given by the man sitting beside his husband who laid in the hospital bed. A call awoke that very same man from a fitful nights sleep, the baby and thoughts of his beautiful husband laying in the hospital bed kept him tossing and turning all night.

One loud crash later as a phone slid out of a large hand and onto the floor was when he knew it was all over. The man raced out of bed and down the stairs, grabbing his young daughter and her things out of her room. An hour later and the man was still sitting in the hard metal chair beside the bed. "I love you." The man whispered. He was almost sure he could hear the soft "I love you too." whispered back to him as his eyes swam with the memories of his late husband Louis.
