6 - Ran into a bit of a pickle.

Your POV

Once I get to the kitchen, I close the door slowly and crouch down against the door. In my mind, I thought crawling was the best thing to do, in order to get to the water pitcher. My throat was literally as dry as sand, and I needed that water so bad. Without thinking, I jump up and run towards the counter where the water is, and I trip on something, falling to the floor.

The sound of me falling was thankfully, not loud, but I was confused on what I had tripped over. So I quickly crouch down, and pull out a flashlight from the cabinet because it was literally pitch black and I can only get around from remembering what the kitchen looked like. Turning on the flashlight, I gasp slightly, seeing Luffy's sleeping face, laying down. He had some type of chocolate pieces on the corners of his mouth. He looked so adorable. I reached over and ran my fingers through his hair but that was surely a mistake because that almost immediately woke him up. I back up quickly against the counter, dropping the flashlight next to him. Luffy starts moving, groaning in annoyance, before his vision finally cleared up and realized his situation.

"H-Huh?"
Luffy picks up the flashlight and flashes it right in my face and growl in irritation.

"L-Luffy, you idiot, get that out of my face!"
I whisper shout.

"Oh sorry sorry, I didn't know it was you Y/N, I thought you were just a random person for a second."

"Ah, got it...um what are you doing up so late?"
I said, rubbing the back of my neck, watching Luffy slowly get up.

"Ah! You are so messy with food, Luffy!"
I said, sounding a bit disappointed but not surprised, grabbing a napkin to wipe his face. While I wipe his face, I giggle a little bit because of his stunned facial expression, I didn't know why he had that look but it sure was funny.

"What? What's wrong Luffy?"
I giggled, noticing him look to the side with blush showing up on his cheeks.
So adorable he looked...almost too adorable..

"Aww, you look so cute when you blushhh!"
I teasingly squeal, throwing away the napkin and pinching his cheeks with my hands.

Luffy grumbles, removing my hands from his face.

"S-Shut up! Anyways, I should be asking you that, why are YOU up so late?"

"Because I was very thirsty, that's why."

"OkAy? Then get water??"

I wanted to punch this idiot but didn't want to hurt him, but then this was literally a cartoon, Luffy could go back to normal so with all of my strength, I punched him in the head to the floor.

"OWW!"
Luffy stupidly, yells so loud.

"Luffy! Shut up! Oh shit, I hear footsteps..come on, come on!!"
I whisper yell, grabbing Luffy by the arm, trying to find somewhere to hide.
With my quick thinking, I moved a few chair out of the way before going under the dinner table.
Me laying on top of Luffy, because of how tight the space was. In that moment, we made strong eye contact, and I don't know why but my heart was beating as fast as a raging bolt. And I felt my cheeks heat up.

"Look who is blushing now and looking cute!"
Luffy whisper yells with a cocky smile on his face, pinching my cheeks.

"Stop it! Not the time-!"
Before I could finish my sentence, the footsteps made its way into the kitchen. The white table cloth was a little bit see through, so I could see the person's shoes. It was black shoes and black pants. Sanji, he was making breakfast for the crew! Damn it! But we couldn't show our faces then! Their thoughts and assumptions would go wild, plus we'll get scolded for going in the kitchen late at night! Oh my gosh, what do we do?

"I guess it was just in my imagination, but I could've sworn I heard some movement in here...hm probably nothing."
Sanji says, seeming to be heading to the fridge to start breakfast.
I turn my head to Luffy and give him a 'what do we do??' stare and he has the audacity to give me the 'it's not that big of a deal, we'll figure something out,' picking his nose. Ugh, he was so nonchalant!!

I slap it him gently on the cheek to make his focus again on the situation. I give him the look again and he stays the exact same, gosh!!
Now what, if I'm the only one serious, then everything is definitely gonna blow up in our faces for sure.
