Ten years later
"You have officially gone insane," Izanami said with an eyeroll. She was sitting just outside a small cave that had been her home for the last eight years. The sunrays were warming he rlegs and arms while she kept her head in the shades. In the front of the cave was a tiny pond and in front of it, not even two meters away sat a man. A man she had met ten years ago during one fateful night.
Unlike her, the sunlight shone right through his body, causing his body to glitter in a million colors.
"Me? You are the one talking to dead people. I am just saying that it might be a way to strengthen my connection to this world. If I may remind you it did work with the annoying Uchiha boy," the blonde man said.
"I heard that!" a voice yelled from inside the cave. Iza ignored him.
"I will not go back there. You found me, remember? The moment I am spotted in that village I am dead." Footsteps sounded from the cave and a moment later a young man was leaning against the entrance.
"Then just don't get spotted," he said. " Besides as fas as I remember the Hatake house was near the border of the village so you should be fine. Unless of course he is home or his dogs are home or he notices the smell when you get back or one of the Inuzuka happen to stop by and smell you... yeah maybe this isn't such a good idea," he mumbled.
"Thank you!" she said a bit relived. The blond man looked at her with such puppy dog eyes that she had to look away.
"Look Minato-sama I know you want to see your son and I know you want justice for what happened but I cannot risk that. If I am gone then you will go back to the world, unable to be seen or see each other. Do you want that?" she asked but at the same time hated herself for making him feel guilty. He was such a cute and nice man. He let out a disappointed sigh. He pulled his knees and hugged them to his chest.
"No I don't want that. Just promise me that you will think about it. It doesn't have to be now or next week but just think about it." Izanami nodded. She hoped it wouldn't come to that but the feeling in her gut let her think otherwise.
For ten years she had been hiding in the woods. She had spent the first two years running and running and never stopping until one day she found this little cave and with it came one of her two ghost companions. Shisui had been sitting at the pond when she had ran out of the forest and collapsed in front of the cave. Huge cliffs were surrounding her little oasis.
He had been very enlightened to see her, for some reason he had been stuck there for a few years.
Every since then the three of them had lived there. Izanami put up a few protection seals that she had created with the help of the fourth Hokage, they would hide them from outsiders and keep them safe.
Living here was not very exciting. Iza hardly ever went more than a few hundred meters away. She was far to scared that they would catch her after all these years.
"You know I always thought that Kakashi liked you but I didn't think he would ever risk his job for anyone," Shisui said and sat down next to her with his legs crossed. His appearance was more stable than Minatos and he was even able to feel the touch of things and he was even able to touch her. But not only that he could also come and go as he pleased while Minato was reliant of her chakra.
The reason for Shisui s differences was a necklace she had found in the pond. It had carried some of Shisui's chakra. As long as she wore it around her neck he gained strength. Now Minato was asking her to steal an old Kunai from her former best friend so that he could become more stable as well. She didn't know why he had asked her now instead of sometime during the last ten years but she was pretty sure that it had something to do with wanting to see his son. He should be a teenager now.
