I had just finished breakfast when I heard Rin yell, it looked like he had finally woken up and realized he overslept and was going to be late if he didn't hurry. "Good morning, Rin." Yukio said.
"Why didn't you wake me up?!" Rin had come down not even fully dressed and his hair was a mess. "Well, I tried three times, but you didn't wake up. So, I figured you were pretty wiped, and let you sleep.
Rin sat down with his blazer and tie on, but his shirt was still unbuttoned. He grabbed his bowl of rice and shoved it in his mouth. "You're going to choke." I said.
"Well, I'm going to head out, don't forget to put your dishes away when you're done." Yukio said getting up. I waited for Rin to finish since I had to be with him at all times except inside the dorm.
...
"Get me something too!" I yelled at Rin. He was braving the crowd and trying to get lunch. Seriously, the school store was a madhouse.
Yukio ran up and stopped beside me, "I'm too late." I was about to talk to him when a chorus of "Okumura-San" came from behind us. I turned around to see three girls fawning over Yukio. Looked like he was popular.
The girls introduced themselves when Yukio asked who they were. The three girls then offered their lunch to Yukio but soon started fighting over who would be first. "I just remembered I'm supposed to have lunch with my brother and sister today. Please excuse me ladies." Yukio grabbed my wrist and dragged me to where Rin was before grabbing him as well and dragging us away.
All three of us stood panting in the cafeteria. "Thanks to you guys, I'm saved." Yukio said breathlessly. "Didn't those girls make lunch especially for you?" Rin asked. "Yea, you should have taken them and let us eat some." I chimed in.
"Wow! Check out this spread! A cafeteria with lobster on the menu!" Rin yelled. He was like a dog, he got distracted easily and was always hungry. "Well True Cross Academy is a school for the privileged." Yukio replied. Rin smirked, "So I guess this means I'm high class now."
"You buy your meal ticket from the vending machine over here first." Yukio said ignoring him. I gaped at the prices and Rin let out a strange noise in surprise. "Holy shit." I muttered. "Ruka, stop muttering, you only do that when you're saying something mean." Yukio scolded. "Would you prefer I yell like Rin?" Yukio didn't have a response to that.
"Dammit you high class snobs." Rin said menacingly. Rin grabbed his sword, and I quickly snatched it out of his hands while Yukio held him back. "Calm down Rin! The cheapest one is A lunch at 1800 yen! I'll pay for you!" Yukio yelled. People stared at us as they walked by, but I was just relieved Rin hadn't done something stupid.
I waited outside the headmaster's office as Rin and Yukio asked him to lower the school lunch prices. The headmaster gave me the creeps and I would prefer to be as far away from him as possible.
Rin came out of the office pissed and Yukio just looked tired. That made two of us. I had woken up from another nightmare last night, to get it off my mind I ended up studying until the sun came up. I followed them, not paying much attention. I hadn't ever been down this hallway before. It looked the same as all the other hallways. If I had to describe them in one word I'd say "expensive."
"Ruka, do you want to come buy groceries with us?" Rin asked. I shook my head, "No, I'll go back to the dorm." Yukio gave me a lecturing look. "I'll be in the dorm, beside you'll be with Rin, right? Just don't let him draw the sword." Yukio looked hesitant but gave in. "Fine but go straight to the dorms." I waved a hand goodbye and headed outside.
