She’s in awe of the new neighbour who has recently moved in. He’s tall and handsome with brown eyes, mystifying enough for everyone to get attracted. The air around him is quite mysterious and fragrant. He doesn’t meet people much and is mostly busy.
She’s determined to talk to and get to know him, as she’s fascinated by his handsome and mystifying aura. Masking all her courage, she rings the doorbell of the flat. After a couple of minutes, someone opens the door. She finds it to be him and she smiles at him.
“Hey, I am your neighbour, my name is Tarini.” She smiles.
“Hi, please come in.” He smiles warmly.
“Thanks. What is your good name?”Tarini asks.
“Raj Shastri. What brings you here, Ms. Tarini?” He asks gently and she’s in awe of his behaviour.
In the past few days, she’s only heard that this guy was noisy, doing something or the other and he could be harmful to society. But, she can’t hear any noise in his apartment. Rather, he’s sitting across her and smiling at her.
“Ms. Tarini, is everything alright?” He asks, bringing her out of her trance.
“Yes, sorry, I spaced out. Well, I got this cake for you. I thought this was a good idea to meet you. We’re on the same floor and I couldn’t meet you earlier.” Tarini smiles sweetly.
“That is okay, Ms. Tarini. I am glad you came. Would you like to have some coffee?” He asks and she agrees.
They talk about multiple things and Raj cracks jokes in the middle to make her laugh. Tarini has a good time with Raj and she has formed a new opinion of this man. Meanwhile, his phone rings and he turns serious. He talks for a couple of minutes and then disconnects the call. He then looks at Tarini, who makes out that something is wrong.
“Is everything fine, Raj?” She asks.
“Yes, but I have some work; I will have to leave,” Raj says.
“Oh, sure! I will be leaving anyway. I just came to meet you. Thanks for your time, Raj. You’re sweet.” Tarini smiles and leaves the flat.
Raj walks into his room and picks up his pistol. There are a few pictures on the table and he marks a cross on a picture.
“It’s your time to die, Mr. Alok.” He smirks.
He wears his hat, hides his pistol in his shirt, and walks out. His eyes fall on Tarini, who is talking to a girl. She waves at him and he smiles.
Little did Tarini know that the man for whom she had formed a positive opinion was not worth it. She’s got her life at stake, all thanks to the killer next door.
