He's sitting in front of his desk, trying to type something. He's hurt, offended, and in a daze with everything that happened to him. He's constantly typing something and erasing it in the next instant. It seems like he's not finding the right words to express his feelings.
He’s staring into nothingness when his phone beeps with a message. The WhatsApp chat is open, and it’s a message from the love of his life. She has sent him a picture; that’s of a new life—their baby. His eyes glisten with tears. Yeah, he’s going to become a dad. He’s got ample reasons to be happy, but he’s not, really.
Due to some gruesome reasons, including the recession, the company has terminated some employees, and he’s one of them. He’s been trying to convey the message to her, who’s at her mom’s place. Zooming into the picture, he’s filled with a new zeal. He’s determined to jump out of the deep waters of his problem and begin life afresh.
He presses the backspace tab, erasing everything he wrote. Instead, he sends a heart and immediately calls her. He knows he needs to keep his sadness to himself, and he needs to be strong for her, for they’re stepping into a whole new world.
