Ash's POV:
Leah basically dragged me to her car as we left the stadium, I was still just in my game shorts and a blanket but luckily she let me stop and grab my stuff so I could change my boots into sliders.
"Yano we could've waited?" I asked trying to look brave as the pain wasn't easing off.
"Ash, we are going that's final. Sit still and be quiet." Leah demanded as she turned on the car and set off to the hospital. She's hot when she's all demanding."Come on, let's go get you checked out." The blonde said as she opened my door and helped me up.
"Ugh fuck this hurts!" I groaned as we slowly made our way in to A&E and got booked in.
"How you feeling?" Leah asked after we sat down.
"Err, yeah okay, just annoyed and in pain. So won't be the best company, sorry." I mumbled starting to feel a bit sorry for myself and not wanting to inconvenience Leah in anyway.
"I know how you feel, but I'm here to stay". Can she read my mind?
"Thanks Love, it means a lot". I smiled at the blonde who seemed to flush slightly, must be warm in here or something?"Ashley Grayson!" The doctor shouted.
I smiled at the doctor as Leah got up and started to push the wheelchair.
Yeah! Can you believe it? After seeing the triage nurse she didn't want me aggravating my ribs by walking so forced me to be in a wheelchair! Blondie over here seemed to find it amusing!
"Stop pouting! It's only a precaution". Leah laughed seeing my face as she pushed me to follow the doctor.
"Easy for you to say nurse Williamson". I grumbled not enjoying the feeling of being weak, especially when I was supposed to be having a coffee date with her."Right from the X-ray of your ribs, they just look to be bruised so you can lose the wheelchair but you have to take it easy for the next 2-3 weeks and then see what your physios say with training". The doctor informed us.
"Oh thank god, get me out this chair!" At my outburst Leah seemed to burst out laughing.
"S-Sorry never seen someone so happy. What about her shoulder?" Leah stuttered in between laughs.
"Unfortunately that's not good news. So after your physios reset it, we've noticed on the X-ray it's not quite sat right which is why you're in a lot of pain. So we are gonna have to sedate you whilst we put it back correctly, okay?" She said which she's correct, it's not good news.
"Yeah sure doc, can't I just be out under local anaesthesia?" I questioned not wanting to be completely out of it in front of Leah.
"Unfortunately Miss Grayson it's a lot safer and painless to do it this way. We will get a bed set up for you now if you want to just stay here".
"Thank you doctor". Leah smiled before turning to me.
"Hey, it'll be okay. I'll be with you when you wake up".
"Thanks Le, it really means a lot you being here, even though we don't really know each other". I said feeling a bit bummed out but glad to have someone like Leah in my corner.
"Le? I like it, it's cute. And as for knowing each other, I'm hoping that'll change". The blonde smiled which quickly made me blush and nod with a smile on my face.Leah's POV:
Whilst I'm sat outside waiting for them to reset Ash's shoulder I quickly check my messages to see that the Arsenal girls that came to the match are still with the rugby team and are going to Grace's house to get some food and watch a film. After I have updated them about Ash and saying I'll see if she wants to go to Grace's when she's discharged a doctor came out of her room.
"So everything went well, she's just coming round. But I should warn you she's on some strong painkillers so might be a bit out of it". She said as she smiled and walked down the corridor.Walking in I see a smiling Ash looking over at me.
"So you're awake? How do you feel?" I questioned smiling back at her.
"I feel amazing! These drugs are the best you want some?" She looked at me with raised eyebrows as I sat next to her as I tried to hold my laughter in.
"No I'm good thanks, you can have them". I said to her.
"Do you want to know something?" She questioned.
"Sure Ash". I nodded, wondering what she's about to come out with now.
"You're the most beautiful person I've ever met! Like god screwed us all over when he made you!" She proudly declared, no sign of a lie on her face. Before I could even reply, well apart from the bright red blush on my face, Ash started talking again.
"Do you think there even is a god? Like heaven and hell? Ooo maybe you're an Angel! That's it! You're my guardian Angel!" She spewed out more as I sat in shock, does she like me too? No she's just high.
"I think I'm gonna go sleep now, I tired. Will you be here when I wake up?" She asked in her drowsy state.
"Get some sleep Ash, I'll still be here". I smiled at her noticing how cute she is when she's sleepy.
"Ok, goodnight Angel". She muttered before drifting off."Ugh god, why's it so bright?" I heard a grumble to the side of my as I put my phone down.
"Hey Ash? You okay?" I asked concerned.
"Hmm, oh yeah, sorry how long have I been asleep?" She questioned as she slowly came round.
"Not long a couple of hours, you should be getting released soon now you're awake." I smiled at her seeing how cute she is.
"Ok good, thank you for staying with me love."
"So it's back to Love now, I thought I was your guardian Angel?" I laughed out not being able to resist teasing her.
"Oh god! What did I say?" She grumbled hiding her face in her hand.
"Don't worry nothing too bad". I teased further enjoying the blush on her face for a change.
"Oh please le, tell me." She begged, looking worried.
"Nothing bad I promise, just how "beautiful" I am and how "god screwed you all over when he made me", to then you got on to me being your guardian Angel". I smirked as she became more red as I went on.
"W-well I guess high me speaks the truth, you are beautiful." She uttered out, not breaking eye contact as she smiled at me which seemed to grow as my cheeks heated up.About ten minutes later the doctor came back in to check everything was set and to allow Ash to go home.
"Right everything looks good, so I'll let you guys get home. Any issues just come back and I told your girlfriend about when to take your meds". The doctor smiled as she left the room as me and Ash just looked back and forth between the door and each other.
"W-well, should we go?" I asked Ash as she turned back to me.
"Sure let's go Angel" she winked getting off the bed and making our way out the hospital. As we made it to the car, I helped her in before going round the the drivers side and starting the car.
"So all the girls are at Grace's, including my friends who came to the match. So do you want to go there or go home?" I questioned as I turned towards her.
"Well i wouldn't mind seeing everyone if that's okay with you?" She asked polite as ever.
"Sure, I'be also got to let them know what you was saying after coming round anyway". I laughed out as she groaned.
"Ughh Leahhh, please don't!". She begged as we set off towards Grace's house.AN:
