Enje
I groan as I come around, blinking furiously against the fuzziness. I furiously snap my eyes open, to find myself strapped in the same bed as before, in the same exact room.
Shit. I huff angrily, eyeing the machines attached to me and the empty room. I try to remain calm, finally coming to the realization that my anger won't get me nowhere at the moment.
I try to focus my senses on outside the room, but they are blocked like they were the last time. I sigh, frustrated.
I don't remain in this cold , white room for long, before the steel door with the glass window embedded at the top opens, revealing the man that I have started to hate.
The very man who stopped me from escaping, and gave me that drink the last time I was awake.
The man, who, against all my doubts, seems like he could fit in with one of my kind. And that not only make me furious if these revelations are true, but scared shitless.
Because if he was once what I am and have been my entire life, then he knows everything about my kind.
And that will make it very hard for my escape. My thoughts turn to my brother, my cousin, and the rest of our people that were caught.
Have they witnessed the same events in the short hours I have? I desperately wish I knew if they were okay or not.
"Hello." The large man says softly, his fists shoved into the pockets of his black, neat coat that trails to his ankles.
"I am sorry for these circumstances. But, unfortunately, we have to take precautions to ensure that you won't be a harm to yourself during this process, and more specifically, to the employees of this place. Myself included."
The man mutters, heavily sitting in a chair and rolling it close to the right side of the bed I am strapped to.
My eyes flicker to the other individual that followed the large man in. Another man, but much smaller. His hair is frazzled in all types of directions, his glasses continues to slide down his nose, despite his attempts to push them up, and his white coat is even longer than the first man's jacket.
I watch as he fiddles with one of the machines attached to me, my eyes narrowing dangerously.
"Easy, now. Just look at me, kid. Trust me. You aren't going to like either of us, but you will like the doc worse than me. I'd suggest that you just focus your attention on me, considering this is not going to be easy for you." The man says, snapping his fingers in my eyes.
I snap my attention to him, my breathing starting to get heavy as I try to reel in my anger.
"I don't think we have been properly introduced. My name is Higel. I would ask you for yours, but I understand you won't give it to me. Not yet, at the very least. That is why-" He pauses as he shuffles to pull out something from one of his pockets.
