It was an ordinary at Pontypandy Fire Station. Y/N L/N, the youngest firefighter on the team, was feeling a little shy around a certain firefighter.
"Y/N, what's wrong?" Elvis, her best friend, asked.
"Nothing," she replied, "everything's fine."
"'Fine' doesn't mean blushing in my book," Arnold, the second youngest firefighter, replied. Elvis jabbed him lightly in the ribs as punishment for the remark.
"I'm fine," Y/N replied, "nothing's wrong."
"What's this I hear about you being 'fine??'" it was Ellie, followed by Penny. Y/N groaned, knowing that there was no escape now.
"Okay, okay," she said, "I-I think I'm in love with Sam."
Elvis gasped, "you can't mean Fireman Sam Jones, the Hero Next Door???"
Y/N blushed, "yeah, him."
"Ooooh!" Penny and Ellie said at the same time, "you've just GOT to tell him!"
"Are you crazy?!" Y/N told them, "no!!"
"Oh come on!!" Penny said, "you've got to confess your feelings!!"
Y/N sighed, "well, how do I do it?"
"Just do it how I did it with Penny!" Elvis said, (sorry for the elvis/penny thing) "break down in tears and practically scream it out!"
"Yeah, I'm still deaf from that," Arnold said sarcastically.
"Just find a moment alone with him and whisper it in his ear," Penny said as she took Y/N's hand, "trust me. I'm sure he feels the same way."
Later...
It was a few hours later, and Y/N and Sam were on shift together. Y/N couldn't stop sweating whenever he was in her circle of vision, yet Sam remained oblivious to it.
"Y/N?" he finally asked, his red quiff moving a bit in the wind, "is anything wrong?"
"Uh, yes," Y/N admitted, her ears turning red.
"Well, whatever it is, it can't be that bad," Sam replied, "or is it?"
"Um," she finally said, mustering up the courage, "I-I love you."
Sam was silent for a moment. Then, he said, "Y/N, I feel the same way."
Y/N smiled before she and Sam leaned in for a tender kiss.
"Wow," Y/N said when the kiss broke, "that-that felt-"
"Like magic," Sam said as he pulled Y/N in for another kiss.
