OG!Penny x Tired!Reader- Tired

Y/N L/N of Pontypandy Fire Station was really tired. There had been nothing but emergencies all day. 

"Y/N, want me to get you a cuppa?" Fireman Elvis Cridlington asked. The two of them had been on shift together, and were dead tired.

"No thanks," Y/N said, "I just want to go to bed right now, Elvis."

However, before they could go upstairs, there was a knock on the door. "I'll get it, Y/N, don't worry!" He ran and got the door. There stood Firefighter Penny Morris of Newtown Fire Station.

"Oh, hey Penny," Elvis said. He and Penny were good friends.

Y/N looked up and blushed. They had always felt something for Penny Morris, but decided to keep it under wraps because they had to remain professional at work. Besides, she probably didn't feel the same way.

"H-hey, Penny," Y/N said nervously, "w-what brings you here?"

"Oh, just to help you guys for tomorrow," Penny said, "Steele said I should arrive the night before. It's supposed to rain later tonight, and it would be too difficult to arrive tomorrow. The roads would be much too slippery."

"Right," Y/N said.

"You seem tired," Penny said in a concerned voice, "long day at work, Y/N?"

"Yeah," Y/N said, trying to grin even though their eyes were on the verge of closing, "Norman Price got into a lot of mischief today."

Elvis wiped his brow, "care for a cup of tea, Penny?"

Penny smiled, "Sure."

"I'm gonna go upstairs and rest," Y/N said. They limped up the stairs, and by the time they got to the bedroom, they were so tired they were hardly even conscious. They opened the door and fell face-first onto their bed. They let out a groan as they turned over and closed their eyes as they drifted into the deepest sleep they had ever been in...

"Y/N?"

"Huh...?"

Y/N opened their eyes to see Penny standing right over them. They blushed and said, "wha-what are you-"

Penny grabbed Y/N by the collar and collided her lips with theirs. Y/N, shocked, tried to say something, but it ended up all muffled. However, they soon kissed back.

When their lips finally parted, Y/N, shocked, confused, and honestly a little flustered, said, "uh, Penny-"

"Y/N, I love you," Penny said, "I've loved you for the longest time."

"Penny, I can't believe this," Y/N said, "I love you too. But I thought-"

"You thought that I didn't feel the same way."

"But you do," Y/N said as they gave Penny a kiss on the lips, "I've always loved you."
