Cassandra strolled through the bustling London courtyard, her eyes scanning the familiar faces for a glimpse of her best friend Lily. As she turned the corner, she froze, her heart sinking. There, under the blooming cherry blossom tree, Lily and Oscar were locked in an intimate embrace, oblivious to the world around them. Cassandra's eyes narrowed, a mix of hurt and frustration washing over her.

"Lily!" Cassandra called out, her voice sharp. The couple sprang apart, startled by her sudden appearance.

"Cass! Hey," Lily said, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "We didn't see you there."

"Clearly," Cassandra retorted, her tone sharper than she intended. Oscar shifted uncomfortably, sensing the tension.

"What's up, Cassandra?" Oscar asked cautiously.

"Oh, nothing. Just witnessing the latest public display of affection," Cassandra replied, her words laced with sarcasm. She turned on her heel, storming away from the scene.

Later that evening, Cassandra found herself pacing her room, replaying the scene over and over in her mind. Frustration bubbled within her as she grabbed her phone, contemplating who to call for comfort. Her eyes settled on Logan, a close friend who had always been there for her.

Dialing Logan's number, Cassandra bit her lip, waiting for him to answer. After a few rings, his calm voice filled the line.

"Hey, Cass, what's going on?" Logan asked.

"It's Lily and Oscar," Cassandra began, her voice breaking. "I can't believe they're all over each other, and I'm just standing there like a third wheel."

Logan listened patiently as Cassandra poured out her feelings, detailing the hurt and frustration that had been building up. He offered understanding words and a sympathetic ear, assuring her that it was okay to feel upset.

"You deserve to have your feelings acknowledged, Cass," Logan said reassuringly. "Why don't we grab some ice cream or something? You shouldn't be alone right now."

Taking Logan up on his offer, Cassandra met him at their favorite ice cream parlor. The comforting smell of sugar and vanilla enveloped them as they settled into a corner booth.

"So, tell me everything," Logan encouraged, offering Cassandra a sympathetic smile.

"Et là, elle était, main dans la main avec Oscar. Mon Oscar." Cassandra spoke in her native language, which rarely happened. "Cass, I love you but please speak English." Logan sat his hand on top of hers.

"And there she was, holding hands with Oscar. My Oscar."

As they dove into a heart-to-heart conversation, Cassandra's frustration began to melt away. Logan's genuine understanding and support provided the solace she needed. They shared laughter, memories, and dreams, creating a safe space where Cassandra could be herself without judgment.

Hours later, Cassandra found herself feeling grateful for Logan's friendship. He had been the anchor she needed in the storm of emotions, helping her navigate the complexities of friendships and unrequited feelings.

Logan and Cassandra strolled down the quiet, moonlit streets after indulging in sweet delights at the local ice cream shop. The air was crisp, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves overhead. Logan couldn't help but steal glances at Cassandra, her laughter lingering in the air like a melody.

As they approached Logan's home, he couldn't suppress a smile. "I hope you had a good time," he said, unlocking the door with a sense of warmth.

Cassandra grinned, "Absolutely! Thanks for the ice cream, Logan."
