We arrive back at the Mirror chamber, the sounds of student conversations can be heard as we enter the room.

I woke up in here, but I didn't get a good look at the room until now. Giant arched windows line the front of the room and tall columns divide them. On top of the columns, lights sits and decor hangs, connecting to a hefty chandelier in the center of the room. Underneath the light fixture was a mirror floating above a short fountain pouring out what looks like green water. Tons of coffins, or gates, float around the room.

We stay near the door for a few moments and I can't help but overhear some conversations.

"We're done with orientation and dorm assignments? All right, new students — let me be clear. At Heartsbyul House, I am the law. Break the rules, and it's off with your head!" A younger-sounding voice speaks.

The giant hoods make it hard to see what people look like but I'm able to see some features. The one who was just talking looks to have red hair.

I hear a yawn come from a tall man. "Well, that ceremony was as boring as ever. I'm going back to the dorm. If you're in Savanaclaw House, follow me."

I can see two braids escaping his hood and it looks like there are two bumps on the top of his head.

"New students! Allow me to be the first to congratulate you on your achievement. As dorm leader of Octavinelle House, I am honored to have the opportunity to support you in what I hope to be a fulfilling campus experience." A man with a higher voice puts his hand on his chest as he speaks.

He's facing more towards me so I'm able to make out a pair of glasses and silver hair.

"Hey, does anyone know where the head mage went? He disappeared midway through the Ceremony..." A mellow voice questions.

The owner of the voice looks around and I manage to catch what looks to be blonde to lavender, shoulder-length hair.

"Some headmage he is." A quiet voice comes from a floating tablet.

"Maybe he had a tummy ache?" A lively voice comes from a boy with sienna skin and red eyes.

"I most certainly did not!" Mr. Crowley's voice booms around the room, making me jump.

"Ah speak of the devil." The boy with red hair wasn't even phased.

"If you must know, I was searching for the new student who'd failed to show for orientation. You are the only one who has yet to be assigned to a dorm. Step up to the Dark Mirror and be quick about it. I'll watch your weasel." Mr. Crowley pushes me forward.

The creature tries to say something but Mr. Crowley's whip is still tangled around his mouth.

With shaking legs, I walk up to the mirror as my hands clutch the front of my coat. My hood covers the sides of my face, making the looming Mirror the only thing I can see.

A face fades into existence in the mirror, making me tense even more.

"State your name." His voice is strong and commanding.

"Um, Yuna Solace?" My voice is so weak and quiet compared to the Mirror's as my sentence comes out more of a question than a statement. In all honesty, I'm surprised it even heard me.

"Yuna Solace." His voice rings around the room. "The nature of your soul is..." Seconds of silence pass as the mirror's face contorts into a shocked and confused expression. "...un...clear... to me." His voice matches his expression.

Gasps flow through the room.

"What did you just say?" Mr. Crowley looks in disbelief.

"I sense no magical power from this one. Soundless. Colorless. Shapeless. Utterly vacant. Therefore, no dorm would be appropriate for her." The mirror's face fades away, leaving everyone in shock.
