I remember my world, I remember bits and parts of myself, but I can't remember anything about my past, my life. I can't even remember my friends or family.

I stare at the pages of the book in front of me, not reading a word. I forget what's around me as I'm focused on trying to remember anything personal about me.

Okay let's start small: My name is Yuna Solace, I'm eighteen, I like the color blue and chicken and I don't like zucchini. I live in a small town in Vermont, America with... with... come on. Who did I surround myself with, who were my friends, who was my fam-.

"Just as I expected. Nothing. Your homeland is not listed on any map from any point in history. Now, are you QUITE sure that you come from such a place?" Mr. Crowely unknowingly snaps me out of my thoughts.

In all honesty, I'm not one hundred percent sure. If I can't remember anything else, who's to say if what I do remember is even real?

"That wasn't some sort of lie or jape? Because if not, the only explanation is that you've come from another planet. Or perhaps you were summoned here from another dimension?"

"Another planet...dimension?" I say in a tired voice. So much has happened today that I'm just...exhausted.

"Show me everything that you brought here with you. Do you have some sort of identification, a driver's license perhaps? Or even a...shoe? You do seem a tad bit...empty-handed." Mr. Crowley puts a hand on his chin.

I pat around my robes to find nothing, I shake my head. "I don't have anything on me, I'm sorry."

"This is quite the predicament. I cannot have someone with no aptitude for magic bumbling around my magic academy. Yet, as an educator, I loathe to expel a young girl without a cent to her name, or any ability to contact her guardian...truly, my grace is boundless." He smiles and opens his arms. He lets out a hum in thought. "Ah, there is a vacant building on this campus. It was, in fact, used as a dorm a long time ago. With proper cleaning, it should be habitable enough."

'Habitable enough'? That isn't very reassuring, but I shouldn't be looking a gift horse in the mouth.

"Out of the profound kindness of my heart, I will allow you to live there for the time being. In the meantime, we will investigate other ways to send you home. Dear me, but I am a gracious man indeed! A module educator, one might say." Mr. Crowley praises himself. "Well then, I shall take you to your dorm straight away. It is an older building, but it has plenty of...character, one might say." Mr. Crowley smiles again, though this time, it worries me.
