simple night

The nighttime Warsaw was not going to be warm. But it's logical - it's September already, summer is over. in the morning, gawkers will go to work and sleepy children will go to school.

But he doesn't have to go anywhere today or tomorrow.
Jan is standing on the balcony, looking at a cigarette clasped between his fingers, slowly smoldering, with a thin stream of smoke drifting upwards. Why did he start smoking in the first place? Once upon a time, he got into a bad company, he doesn't even seem to remember.

- What are you doing here? You'll freeze," he asked rhetorically. Not that he was unhappy to see her, but now he wanted to be alone, to philosophize about the meaning of life and think about something, but Y/n was always there for him, and that's why he loved her.

She threw a soft plaid over his shoulders, which they had specially allocated for smoking on the balcony, and from the back she hugged him, wrapping her thin arms around his torso.

- Why are you awake? - he brought the filter to his lips and took a drag, inhaling the smoke deep into his lungs.

- It was cold, so I think either someone stole a blanket from me, or someone opened the balcony. it turned out to be both, - she giggled, which caused Rozmanowski the same sincere grin. probably, many girls would scold him for the fact that he always takes all the blanket on himself and often opens the balcony to smoke, regardless of the season. but she never said anything bad about it, although she obviously did not like this very much.

- I promise we'll get a new blanket tomorrow.

- Somehow I don't even doubt that you'll take him on in the middle of the night, too," she smiled softly, and then Jan felt a light kiss on his shoulder.

With a free hand from the cigarette he touched her fingers, humbly lying on his torso. they were terribly cold and Rozmanowski realized that she brought him a blanket to keep him warm, and she herself was standing in short pajama shorts and his oversized T-shirt. he turned to face her and with one hand pulled her under the blanket.

- What are you doing barefoot? - She accidentally stepped on his foot, causing him to lower his gaze and see no socks or slippers on.

- You know I hate walking around the house in slippers," she tilted her head back to look him in the eye.

- You can wear slippers around the house all you want, but at least come up with some slippers to wear when you go out on the balcony," he furrowed his eyebrows, clearly expressing his displeasure.

- You got it. Then tomorrow we have to buy a second blanket and new slippers," Jan nodded his head and took another drag on his cigarette, and she reached up to touch his face a little.

- What crap you're smoking," she squinted at the unpleasant bitterness of his cigarettes. They were thick and strong, but she always liked them thin and with a button to make them at least a little bit sweeter.

- I'm sorry," he laughed and put out the nicotine stick, which had already burned down to the filter, and threw the butt into the ashtray.

Y/n quickly broke out of his embrace and jumped out of the balcony, and Jan, deciding to laugh a little, approached her in one broad step, deftly lifted her in his arms and threw her on his shoulder.

- Hey, let go, what the hell is this? - She was very indignant and even shook her fists on his back a little, but he only laughed loudly until he carried her to the next room. there he gently laid her on their bed and fell down beside her. - What was that?

- That was a good prank," Janek chuckled contentedly and turned on his side, looking at her.

A little light from the street lamp seeped through the gap between the curtains, aesthetically illuminating her face and her hair, which made Y/n squeeze her eyes shut.
