When Lily rejected James for the hundredth time, during the middle of 6th year, he said,
"Band Aids don't fix bullet holes, Evans. "
Lily immediately felt awful and thought, ' Tomorrow when he asks I will say yes!'
The thing is James didn't work up enough courage to ask her again until the middle of seventh year when they were close friends.
