I always thought that when the Marauders, Lily, Marlene, and Alice started to become friends Liky and Sirius got really close. Close as in friends. Sirius told Lily that James likes get more then a friend she told him she liked him that way too. Not even Marlene and Alice new!
They were so close that Lily even asked Sirius to come to Hogsmeade with her once. Just as friends.
She asked him because it was a week before James' birthday and she wanted to get the perfect gift and who not to ask for help but his best friend!!
There while group decided to meet at The Three Broomsticks at 1 o clock.
And this is how it happened.
James' POV
I was walking to The Three Broomsticks to meet up with everyone when I heard Lily and Sirius come around the corner laughing hysterically at something. When they noticed that I had got there at the same time as then, Sirius said
"Well hello there, James"
Holding out the 's' for longer then needed. Lily blushed and playfully hit Sirius on the arm. He smirked and she glared at him.
' What in the name of Merlin is going on here?!?' I thought.
Sirius offered to get the butterbeers while Lily and I found a big table for the seven of us.
"So..." I stared trying to make conversation
"So" Lily replied.
"You and Sirius then, eh?" I asked
her face paled and then turns into one of disgust.
"Of course not!! We are just friends! Well as Sirius put it ' I'm your best friend right?' But he is not. Oh yeah back to the weird conversation, I asked him to go with me because your birthday is next week and..."
She started mumbling the end so I had to ask
"What about my birthday?"
"Well I wanted to get you the perfect gift, because I kinda sorta really like you, and I thought why not ask Sirius for help after all he and James are best friends. So we went shopping for you presents today, James, don't you ever think that I like Sirius like that again or you lose a hand. " She smiled sweetly.
"You like me?!?!" I asked shocked.
She turned red and clamped her hand over her mouth.
"It's okay." I said calmly even tho I was bouncing up in down with excitement inside.
"I like you too"
"I know. Sirius told me"
"He what?!?" I was outraged.
"He also said that ' if and when you two start going out, tell me if he hurts you and I will beat his pretty little face'" She said mocking Sirius.
"Also he told me because he knew I liked you and he was helping me know you better." I just smiled at her and took her hand in mine.
"Alright than, Evans, will you be my girlfriend?" I said very dramatically
"Of course you big goofball" she replied while giggling.
I then pulled her into a kiss that became a long passionate snog!
