Chapter 6: Stella Goetia

In the kitchen of the Goetia residence

Violet, Jimmy, the IMP team, and Octavia watched the argument between Stolas and Stella unfold, Jimmy and Violet were nervous while Octavia seemed like she was used to seeing this happen on the regular. "Why the fuck are there humans in our home! And why is your little fuck buddy and his crew here too! You better have a good reason for this you dickless excuse of a husband!" Stella yelled with fury, "Stella dear I recently found an opportunity to...meet Adam Carter in person by having Blitzly here retrieve him and these are his siblings. Is that enough of an explanation?" Stolas explained. Stella had a look of shock on her face that quickly returned to her usual irritated scowl, she looked over at the two humans and then back to Stolas. "Bring him here now" Stella commanded, Stolas wordlessly walked out of the kitchen and back to his bedroom.

Stolas opened his bedroom door to see Adam sitting on his couch with a worried expression. "What's going on? Are Jimmy and Violet ok?" Adam asked, "Oh don't worry they're fine but it's my wife, she unsurprisingly got rather upset at seeing humans in our home, and now she wants to meet you. She won't hurt you or your siblings I promise you that but still try to avoid getting on her bad side" Stolas explained. "Well...I guess I don't have much of a choice, so let's just get it over with" Adam said hesitantly. Adam and Stolas walked down to the kitchen, Adam was filled with dread and worry about what would happen. Adam and Stoals entered the kitchen, Adam instantly picked up on the tension in the room, he saw that everyone else in the room besides Stella looked uncomfortable. Stella looked over at Adam, taking particular interest in the scars on his arm and leg, "So you really are the real deal huh? Your the biggest celebrity down here you know?" Stella said.

"So far I don't really like all the attention it's bringing me" Adam said, "Oh I can imagine so child, you know I was pretty shocked when I first heard about you. I couldn't fucking believe it, Tell me Adam did you have any sort of help escaping?" Stella asked. "Yeah, Cherubs came to rescue me...the others didn't make it though" Adam said trailing off at the end, "What? Bad memories coming back? Oh I do apologize, I was just curious" Stella said with slight sincerity which was rare. "Anyways did my useless husband tell you about Nergal, the one who orchestrated the demon attack at your orphanage" Stella asked "Yeah he did" Adam replied dryly, "Tell me Adam, do you want revenge?" Stella asked with a slight grin "If I had a chance at getting revenge against him...then yeah I'd take it, but I won't actively go looking for him" Adam said. "Well Adam I wish you the best of luck getting back at the bastard but I have to make a call now. Safe travels Children" Stella said with a menacing grin as she looked over Adam and his siblings.

Stella walked out of the kitchen leaving the room silent for a few seconds. "Yeesh, major bitch alert" Blitzo said, Stolas laughed a little at the comment while turning to Adam "I think it's best that you and your siblings go home now, It's been a pleasure to meet you Adam" Stolas said. "Yeah pleasure meeting you too" Adam said feeling relieved that he and his siblings could go home and be done with all this demon stuff, Adam his siblings and the IMP team went outside. "Mills make the portal to send the kiddos home" Blitzo said, As Millie made the portal Loona walked up to Adam "Hey so..you'll send me some more music right?" She asked "Yeah, of course, there's a lot of good stuff you gotta hear" Adam said with a slight smile. "Fuck yeah" Loona said while grinning, Blitzo watched the two with mixed feelings, and suddenly the portal opened up "Alirght kiddos you can go home and smoke weed or whatever else teenagers do" Blitzo said. Everyone said their goodbyes and the human siblings walked through the portal and ended up in their backyard, the portal closing behind them.

Meanwhile in IMP city

An imp walked into a ruined building, twisting and turning through hallways until he reached a room where a dark figure sat. "Sir, I have urgent news about the IMP agency and...about Adam" The imp said, The figure perked up "Well, let's hear it then" The figure spoke. " The IMP leader took Adam to the Goetia prince instead, apparently he borrows a book from the prince to get access to the human world by...let's just say doing some favors for the prince" the imp explained. "I can't say I'm too surprised by his double-crossing, he seemed like the unprofessional type after all. Anyways there's always a next time...rally the others were moving to the next hideout, now go" the figure commended with the imp wordlessly leaving the room.

2 months later: Adam's perspective

Things have pretty much been smooth sailing ever since being dragged down to hell, I can only hope that'll never happen again. The only demon contact I've had is with Loona, me and her text each other regularly. I've been sending her all kinds of different human music to listen to, some 2000s rock like Disturbed, 1990s grunge, and classic rock. She's taken a real liking to Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and Soundgarden, sometimes we call each other just to talk about random stuff like how our days were, and the differences between our worlds. Sometimes she mentions wanting to hang out in the human world to maybe watch a movie or play a game since she didn't know anything about human movies or games either. But is annoyed at the fact that Blitzo would probably flip out, I also graduated high school two weeks ago I'm honestly not too sure what I'll do in college but I guess I'll get to that when I get to it.

Violet recently got her first car a 2007 Toyota Avalon. The thing was a steal only costing $3,599, sometimes she brought Jimmy and me along for night rides just to drive around listening to music and sometimes we buy some grub from a burgers and fries joint and just sit on the beach talking the night away. Honestly, things overall have been pretty peaceful lately, The national guard is still in town though but theres been talk that theyll leave soon. I walked into my house after going for a walk to think over how things have been going, when I got to my room I noticed something under the covers. I pulled the covers to reveal a bee with a halo on it's head, it was a cherub.

Adam carefully nudged the bee's shoulder, "Hey wake up". The bee cherub finally started to wake up, her eyes wideended at seeing Adam. "Oh my goodness your finally here Adam, I've been waiting for you. Theres someone that wants to speak with you" She said, "who wants to speak to me?", "Your about to get your answer dear" The bee said as she took out a horn instrument and played an acinet sounding heavenly tune. After a few seconds a portal opened with a fawn cherub coming through, the portal closed as the fawn noticed Adam and suddenly hugged him. "It's nice to meet you Adam, I do wish it was under better circumstances", "Why what happened?" Adam asked slightly panicked. The cherubs looked at each other for a second, "Deerie you tell him, I don't think I have the heart to" The bee said "I regret to inform you that your guardian angel Collin has been exiled from heaven, the same goes for Cletus and Keenie" Deerie explained.

Adam was left utterly shocked, "Why...what did they do?". "They...killed a human" Deerie said leaving Adam even more shocked than he was before, "Hold on there has be a mistake right...how and why could that have happened? and where are they now?" Adam asked while trying to keep himself together. "We don't exactly know the details, on how or why it happened and we don't know where they were sent to. But we're so sorry Adam", Adam just sat there silently taking all of it in, Deerie hugged Adam again but in a more comforting manner. They stayed like that for a few seconds before Adam pulled away, "I just need time to process this" Adam said quietly "Take as much time as you need, I also want to tell you that I'm your new guardian angel now. I apologize for telling you so much in such a short amount of time but me and Honey have to get going now" Deerie said. "Yeah ok, it's fine I just need to...I'll be fine don't worry" Adam can barley find any words to say right now, Deerie held Adams's hand "We'll see each other again soon Adam I promise" Deerie said as a portal opened. When the two cherubs left Adam layed down on his bed trying to keep himself from crying, the cherubs that saved him and watched over him were gone...
