After Cassidy left I cried. Hoping she'd one day change, and not be so much like how she is. Then I remembered, that Cindy asked if I could go to her house, and it was ten minutes past the time she asked me to show up. So I quickly put some shoes on, and left the house. I quickly ran to Cindy's house and rang her doorbell.

She answered it and looked at me, shocked. "Where were you?" She asked. "I fell asleep, sorry..." I replied in a tired tone. "Oh, I thought you stood me up!" She grabbed my hand and walked me inside. "I'm home alone right now, so we can just sit here on the couch." She said as she led me to the living room.

We sat down. "Cindy I need to tell you something." I said. "What is it?" She replied innocently with a smile on her face. "Cassidy told me she liked me, and I didn't want to hurt her feelings, so I said I liked her back. And now she thinks I love her and I tried to tell her I don't but she didn't listen. And so I pretended I loved Cassidy and know I'm really sad because I miss when Cassidy was my best friend, not whatever the hell she is now!" I said, trying to get my point across in the best way I could for Cindy. Cindy's innocent smile had faded. She stayed silent for a second, with tears filling up in her eyes.

"W-what!?" She exclaimed. "Cindy I-" she cut me off. "Evan! You cheated on me!" She sat up from the couch. "Cindy wait!" I sat up too. She faced her back to me. "I thought you loved me..." she said, quietly. I could feel the tears on her face from her voice. "Cindy I didn't want to." I came up behind her. She turned around quickly. "Then why did you!?" She screamed. I stood there not knowing what to say. "Cynthia..." I put my hand on her waist. Her arms were up at just the right angle where her shirt was showing slight stomach. She moaned in pain as she took a step back and put her hands on the side of her waist.

"Cindy what happened?!" I yelled. "Nothing! I'm fine!" She said, angrily. "No! It you aren't! There's something wrong with your side!" I walked closer to her, she stepped back nervously as I accidentally cornered her. She looked scared. "Cindy you know I would never hurt you." I said softly. "How do I know that?" She asked. "Because we've gone this far, and I haven't given you a paper cut." I replied. I looked into my eyes and quietly said "okay..."

I lifted her shirt so I could see her stomach area. What I saw was open scars all over. From her sides to her front. I softly caressed her stomach. I noticed the scars led down into her hips. I put my fingers on her skirt strap. I bent down and looked up at Cindy. "May I?" I asked. She nodded. I pulled down the skirt, revealing more scars on her hips and right above her thighs. I noticed the scars going into her crotch area, but I didn't bother to look, until I saw through the white fabric of her panties, a longer and more red looking scar. I didn't want to look, so I asked. "Cindy what is that?" I asked. "It's another scar. But I got that one earlier. It's already taken care of. Along with all the others on my hips." She said. I moved my hand up to her stomach. "Not those." She added.

I frowned. "Did you do this to yourself?" I asked. "No, I promise." She replied. "Then who did this?" I asked. Cindy stayed silent. "I won't tell anyone." I added. "He likes to use his pocket knife on me..." she said quietly. "Who?!" I exclaimed. I was angry, who the hell hurt Cindy?! "Are they family?" I asked again. She shook her head. "Can you please tell me?" I asked again. "No, I'm sorry." She said. "Okay." I looked at her and smiled softly. The fear in her eyes had been gone but I could still see how nervous she was.

The scars were completely open, it's like they were fresh from that day. I ran my finger across her stomach at softly as I could. "Do you want to bandage them?" I asked. She nodded. "Okay stay here." I ran to her kitchen and checked all the shelves for bandages. I found one full of medicine, band-aids, and bandages. I grabbed the white roll of bandages and ran back to the living room.

I walked to Cindy and asked if I could take her shirt off. She nodded. I slipped it off her body gently. I noticed more scars, half healed, on her busts, that told me that whatever was going on had been happening for a while. I came onto her waist with the bandages and started to gently but quickly wrap her waist with them. When I finished she gave me a big hug and thanked me. I hugged her back, Cindy's cold and fragile body in my arms made me ache, 'how could anyone hurt her?' I thought. But really, that's how life goes...
