Chapter 5

Niki's POV

i let out a shaky breath before making my way to where she was standing, talking to her friend, Yuna. i gently tapped on Hwa-young's shoulder, nervously anticipating for her to turn around.

she turned around and was slightly surprised to see me, heat seemed to rush to her cheeks.

 he he cute. 

wait, where did that come from?

"uhm, hi?... i know i was kinda rude to you yesterday and i thought...i'd apologize?...and  i'd also like to be friends with you?" i asked, uncertainly. "if you're okay with it though, if you don't want to, i'm cool with that" i added, as i anticipated for her answer.

her expression seemed slightly unreadable but i knew she was thinking of what to say as her eyes stared at me, taken back but friendly. 

oh i could stare at her eyes all day

h-huh?

what the fvck? again?

Hwa-young's POV

my eyebrows raised as i stared back at him, slightly taken back but a soft smile crept up to my face. "sure, i forgive you...and i guess i don't mind us becoming friends either" i replied, with a slight chuckle as i nervously smiled.

the tension between us was nervous but it wasn't awkward, it was slightly comfortable as if i didn't have to be scared by him or anything. 

as soon as i replied, the unknown boy's face lit up and a wide smile reached his lips, unknowingly widening my smile as well.                                                                                                      

"really?-oh thank you, my name is Niki by the way, Yoon Niki " he replied, handing his hand out for a handshake.

"Nice to meet you, Niki, my name is Hwa-young, Song Hwa-young" i replied, still smiling as i shook his hand. "and this is my friend, Shin Yuna" i added, nudging a skeptical Yuna who was eyeing the poor boy.

"oh right- Shin Yuna, Hwa-young's best friend and the Song family's family friend" introduced herself, Yuna with a smile. Niki shook her hand as well, "nice to meet you, Yuna" he replied, nervously smiling.

"same here, Niki" replied Yuna, i nudged Yuna's elbow, "be nice, Yuna" i whispered to her, she sighed and smiled at Niki, genuinely.

i chuckled slightly and smiled also.

Hwa-young's POV

aww his smile is so pretty

wait, rewind

where the heck did that come from?

Author's POV

the two girls separated from the boy and continued their day, with their usual boring classes that Hwa-young aced as always. 

TIME SKIP

at the lunch break, the two girls, as usual took a seat on the corner table, only having each other to keep company as they rambled on about their life, interests and random topics.

while Niki and his hyungs took a seat at the table, together, discussing about their day so far and Niki happily told them about how he befriended Hwa-young and Yuna, slightly surprising and confusing Jay, Jungwon and Sunoo.

"wait a minute....you actually became friends with her?" asked Sunoo, in disbelief. Niki chuckled and nodded, smiling widely. "yeah hyung, i did, i was nervous to be honest but it went well" replied Niki.

"i'm not surprised though, she's really nice and friendly, it's just that most people in this school avoid her" replied Jay, nonchalantly shrugging as he bit into his hamburger.

"yeah she is" replied Niki, smiling as he took another bite from his hamburger, "she is very pretty though, i want to ask her what her skin care routine is" mumbled Sunoo as he took a sip from his strawberry milk.

"she is" mumbled Niki, smiling slightly as he chewed his food, looking away.
