Isa pov

I didn't know when and how but I was draggad out of my work palce my two men to an suv and none of them was willing to lift finegr

fucking cunt, they had power when it comes to a woman and not their fellow men, how disgusting

"Leonardo, we need to talk, you cannot just come into my place of work announced and think you can take the day off for me without checking I'm with me first" I said, my voice steady and calm despite the storm of emotions raging inside me.

His eyes widened in surprise. "Is everything okay?" he asked.

I took a deep breath, steeling myself for what I needed to say. "Leonardo, I'm not cut out for this bullshit right now, I'm happy to see you again but I need to get back to work."

The words hung in the air between us, heavy with meaning. I watched as Leonardo's face underwent a series of transformations, from shock to disbelief to horror.

"But how...?" he stammered "you were almost abused by those idoit and I saved your life and you want to jump back into their arms without warning or even rest. what the hell is up with you?" He screamed at me making my own temper rise too
"Well dear Leonardo,.not everyone can afford to eat two times a day by seating at home just because I was almost raped, I need to eat, I have plans for myself, I need to work and earn so I do not end up on the street" I clapped right back anger radiating through every tiny blood vessels of my body

we continued to stare at each other with mixed emotions inside me, I was sad, angry and happy at the same time

"I think I might have a solution," Leonardo continued after calming down a little bit"If you're willing to listen and compromise with me, that is."

I nodded, my heart pounding.

"You need a job, right?" he asked, his eyes intense with concentration. "I'm looking for a new nanny for my daughter. . and You're a natural with kids, Isabella. And you know me, my girl is literally like me. It would be a perfect fit. And," he added, his voice dropping to a low murmur, "it would give us a chance to get to know each other again."

I was shocked, first of all he had a kid and now he wants to get to know mw again to rekindle what I had fought so hard to kill in the last six years apart

"wont your wife find it disrespectful?" I asked him with my heart pounding on my chest

like I was getting ready to hear a life sentence

he chuckled with that face that shimmer just as I was waiting nervously

"Bells I'm not married, not anymore, we are separated and currently having a divorce on the way, so don't worry I am all yours"

"before you say anything, I'm not going to force you to do anything

its just business, I will call you" he said before working away and I could reply

I felt a flutter of hope in my chest.

maybe things will work out this time for good

LEO's pov

I knew I had left Isa shocked but I didn't come this far to leave her struck

I had been searching for her for years abd now that I have found her

im not letting her go

I walked into the house and that was when Maria my ex wife walks in smiling like an angel she is not

a soft bush creeps over her cheeks in soft shades of pink "wow Leo what great smile you got for seeing your wife again" she points out her very unreasonable and unneeded pout

"well the last time I checked, I was single and we were divorced what do you want?' she chuckled while seductively batting her eyes "I came her to see my child, to bond with her"

"oh come off it" I cut her off "you haven't cared about her from the day she was born till the day you left here, if you think you re going to be able to use my daughter as a tool to get back into my life, you are highly mistaken

the only reason I haven't gotten a restraining order for you is because of my family , but dare me and I will kill you with my bare hands" I said spitefully which not only caught her off guard but made her to break down into tears

truthfully I couldn't care less how hurt she was

right now my only priority was my daughter and I could tell you right now she is very important absolutely very important as Isabella is to me

probably the only thing that makes sense in my life

I called my maids to take Maria to see Anastasi before heading up to my study to get some work done

after some time I decided to go check in on Ana its been a while since I saw my princess and I knew that by now Maria was long gone I really didn't want to see her ugly personality

"hey princess, how are you darling?" she turned her beautiful sea blue eyes as she looked at me without giving me a reply

she reminded me so much of Isabella, their features and characteristics were almost the same she could pass off for her mother

which if I'm being honest with myself I wish was true, because I plan of getting her into my fucked up life, business , bed and Ana

I wish she would accept my offer and hurry up the process because in actual facts I am not a patient man but she makes me be things I am not

what I'm I even saying they make me to be thing I am not

"Baby please talk to Daddy okay"
Still no reply this night was going to be a long one

*****
It had been a whole night and Ana still hadn't told me anything
I was beyond frustrated and worried

I toke a shower gave Ana drivers and maid instructions and left to work

through out all my meetings that day there was only one thing and person on my mind

Isabella she made me take a trip down memory lane to the first day we met at sixteen

I'll never forget the day I was cornered by those thugs in the school courtyard. They thought they could intimidate me, push me around, and make me their latest victim. But then, like a guardian angel, Isabella dos Ramos appeared out of nowhere. I mean I couldn't blame them, they

She strode towards us with a fierce determination in her eyes, her long, dark hair flowing behind her like a cape. The bullies snickered, thinking she was no match for them, but they were wrong. With a few swift moves, she took them down, her martial arts skills leaving them stunned and cowering.

As the dust settled, Isabella turned to me, her eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief. "Hey, you okay?" she asked, her voice husky and confident.

I nodded, still in shock, my heart racing with gratitude. "Y-yes, thanks to you."

She smiled, a radiant smile that lit up the entire courtyard. "No problem, Leonardo. I've got your back."
And indeed till the day she left she had my back.
