Days later..
Commander had called Fremet to his office, Fremet was walking down the hall finding his office, she eventually got to the door and knocked gently.
Commander Erwin Smith was sitting at his desk, reviewing some of the paperwork needed for the upcoming expedition. Fremet's knock on the door caught his attention.
-"Name and Business?"
Erwin yelled gently, not as loud but loud enough for her to hear, as he then placed the papers down.
"Brooklyn Fremet, You called me.
She responded, stating her Last name and first name then her business for being there.
"Come in."
His tone was firm and direct, as he continued to stare at the papers.
She twisted the door knob gently and went in, closing the door behind her after. The Commander then looked up at the cadet once more."Do you know why I called you, Cadet Brooklyn?"
"Not at all, Commander." She spoke abit contused
"Then let me make it clear for you."He set aside the papers he was reading and looked at the cadet with a stern eye glare.
"I asked you here because it has come to my attention that you have been acting as a troublemaker for some time now."He was now getting impatient, his eye glare was getting sharper by each passing second.
Erwin had not yelled nor spoken in a raised tone yet, but it was easy to see that he was getting angrier with each word that left his mouth.
She nodded in a guilty way, although, she could tell that wasn't the only reason why she was called here.
"I see, so you acknowledge your actions."
Erwin shifted his gaze to the side, he was now wondering if the cadet had changed her point of view.Erwin then sighed and sat back down on his chair.
"Very well."Erwin said that in order to try to help the cadet to understand that her behavior can't keep on going without a single consequence. "Alas, I have good news for you aswell."
"Hm..? And that is?"
"Your skills with maneuvering your 3D-Maneuvering Gear are something that we need for the upcoming expedition."Erwin nodded in confirmation, he then took a deep breath.
"But didn't Lev-.. Captain Levi..- forbid me from going out for three months?"
Erwin nodded abit."He did, but I'm not going to listen to him in this particular situation. This expedition requires every Scout to be at top form."Erwin crossed his arms in front of his chest.
"You have been a pain in the ass for quite a while, that is true. But I'm not going to let a Scout like you miss this mission."
She let out a silent 'yes!' To herself, Erwin noticed it but ignored that.
"But... there is a catch..."Erwin was expecting the cadet to get a bit disappointed for once in her life when he said that. But she clearly looked thrilled.
"You will be closely monitored by the Captain himself, you are not allowed to step out of line again. Do you agree with these terms, cadet?
Fremets smiled faded and she the raised a brow out of annoyance after hearing Levi's name".. why him?.."There it is, the cadet was complaining yet again. She was like a little kid, it was almost getting to the point where Erwin was getting annoyed.
" I don't even want to waste my time answering that stupid question."Erwin was not looking at the cadet in question anymore. "You are a troublesome Scout that must be supervised by the Scout Commander himself. Is that clear, cadet?"
He still wanted to help the cadet, but he was clearly running out of patience by each passing second. "Yessir." She spoke, a tint of boredom in her voice.
"Very well." Erwin cleared his throat and sighed in relief once he noticed the cadet's annoyed tone. "That's all, cadet. You may go now."
Erwin nodded to the cadet before he let her go, but his gaze was still looking at her.
He was not going to make the same mistake he had done in the past, he will keep on monitoring the cadet in question to make sure she actually changed. She looked calm collected when leaving but once she closed the door after walking out and was in the hallway, she smirked in victory.
"Take that grumpy shorty." She muttered to herself softly as she then giggled.
She grinned as she had her arms crossed walking back with a confident aura once again. Erwin let out a deep breath in relief once the cadet left the room. "Phew..."
She really was something else, something else that always pissed him off. He couldn't help but to feel relieved to see that the cadet had somewhat changed her attitude abit. She was still annoying to a degree, but that was only natural for someone like her.
"She is going to cause some problems in the future, one day..."
He then went back to his work. It was going to be a long day... She couldn't wait to rub it on Levi's face, definitely wishing a death wish.
Levi had a few problems to take care of that morning, his time was going to be stretched thin to be able to keep an eye on the cadet while he did some work. After doing some paperwork for a while, Levi then stood up from his chair and left.
He didn't want the cadet to be doing something that he would have to deal with later, plus, he had enough of her shenanigans.
Levi was tired already, and he didn't need a troublemaker to ruin his day anymore than it had been so far.
The main question here is.. Will it be worth the risk?
