Nine

Bailee was in shock over everything and she didn't know what to think. All that she knew was that Jack Branning asked her out. And she had no idea how to feel about it all.

Bailee knew all what she had been through. She knew Jack and she knew how he had been there for her.

How he trying to help her track down who had attacked her. But the fact that he had actually asked her out scared her.

Bailee sat in bed as she sat texting Jack. She knew how they were getting closer. But she knew how she had no idea what to think about things.

Bailee looked as the door opened. She looked to see Ronnie as she walked in. She smiled. "Are you okay?" Ronnie asked.

Bailee looked to her and smiled. "I'm okay. My head is a mess and that. But I am fine," she said.

Ronnie looked to her and nodded "Are you sure? I mean I know all that you have been through. But I want you to know I am here if you want to talk about anything," she said as Bailee sat up in bed.

She looked to her and smiled. "I know. I know what happened to me. And I know it's not easy. I know how none of it is easy. But I do want to make it work. I want for everything to be okay. And to move on. I am okay for the first time in a long time," Bailee said as Ronnie looked to her and smiled.

Bailee smiled as she walked through the square. She saw Kady who walked over to her. She smiled. "Hey are you okay?" Kady asked.

Bailee looked to her and shrugged. "I'm okay. My head is battered. I just don't know what to think. Jack asked me out. And you know his history with your mum. I just feel as if I am betraying her," she told her.

Kady looked to her and smiled. "They ended a long time ago. And it's a date it's not marriage and a baby. I see how he is with you. And if you like him then you should go for it. You should do what you can to make yourself happy. Especially after all that happened," she said as Bailee looked to her and smiled. 

Bailee knew that Kady was right. But she also knew that it was a complicated situation. And she didn't know what to think about it all.

Bailee smiled as she walked out of the minute mart. She saw Jack who smiled. "Hi I feel like you have been avoiding me," he said.

Bailee looked to him and smiled. "Not at all. I just needed to clear my head about things. I feel as if I'm betraying Ronnie. But then I need to think of myself. And I know how you have been there for me," she said. 

Jack looked to her. "What are you saying?" He asked. 

Bailee looked to him and smiled. "I'm saying I'd love to go out with you," she said as he looked to her and smiled.

But could they really make whatever this was work?
