𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

Ch. 3: Tortugas?

As I drove around the city I put on some music, using my built-in headphones in my helmet.

I drove faster, feeling the vibe~ the vibe was amazing (▔▽▔)

I then saw my best friend, Zoey and April exit a manhole... again. I drove over to them, and used my grappling hook to get up on a building's roof top. I then peaked over the edge and watched Zoey and April.

The two were talking, next to the manhole. It kinda looked like they were waiting for something... but what? Or... who?

I then felt someone behind me and quickly turned around to see a sword swinging my way. I immediately ducked and pulled out my plasma pistol. I then realized they were four others behind the person with the sword and I started to get a bit nervous. 5 vs. 1? No fair.

But I then realized they didn't really look... human. They had green skin and shells on their backs. "Tortugas?" I whispered to myself in a confused tone, tilting my head.

"Hey, helmet-head!" I looked over at the one with orange mask, as they started to charge towards me. "Eat— this!!"

I will not be eating anything... I took out a tech shield and shielded myself from getting hit by the orange tortuga's chain thingy.

It bounced off my shield and hit the orange tortuga and he fell back.

I then saw a sword come at me again and dodged it. I then pulled out a handle. And the blue tortuga with the sword laughed. "What are you gonna do? Handle me?" He asked, resting his sword on his shoulder. "Exactly," I said, before pressing a button on the handle and a laser sword emerged.

"Oh..." I heard the blue tortuga say. And I hit him in the chest with my sword, knocking him down. "Alright no messing around. El, you and me. Let's do this." The big, red tortuga said, pulling the pink tortuga up on his shoulder and approaching me.

I think it's time I get outta here. I am not looking forward to be stomped to death. I take out my grappling hook but it gets knocked out my hand with a staff. I look at the purple tortuga and groan lowly.

I back up to the edge and jump down. "Woah! He's crazy!" One of them said. I jump down in the middle of April and Zoey and they scream.

I run to my motorbike and speed down the street as fast as this thing could go.

I looked back and saw nobody chasing me. I then looked in front of me and gasped as I saw a way much bigger version of the red tortuga. The red tortuga then threw something at me. It was the pink tortuga.

The pink tortuga jumped on the front-top of my motorbike. "You didn't think you were gonna get away that easily, right?" They asked, trying to hit me with their weapon.

My eyebrows furrowed from under my helmet and I started driving my motorbike backwards and the tortuga fell off, tumbling hard on the road, which made me chuckle.

Then a big red fist came at me and I drove out of the way. I kept having to dodge the big fist as it kept trying to punch me into the ground.

I then saw the purple tortuga fly towards me on a jetpack and I groaned, but I then spotted a tunnel and drove in it; the purple tortuga followed.

They then started to shoot at me, but I was able to dodge the shots. They fired a big one at me and I had to loopty loop across the tunnel to avoid getting hit. I then took out my plasma pistol and shot the purple tortuga's jetpack and it went haywire, passing me out the tunnel and flying up the sky. "AHHHHH!"

I was out the tunnel now but then got pulled out off my motorbike by a chain. I looked up and saw the orange and blue tortugas coming out of a portal from the sky. Wait a minute,.. a portal? "Yeah, baby! Hohaa!"

I tapped a button on my watch and my motorbike started to drive itself. Even though my torso was wrapped in chain my arms weren't so I pulled the chain and orange tortuga yelped as he came flying towards me. "WAAHHH!" We both fell, me falling on my the seat of my motorbike and the tortuga falling on the ground now being dragged as his chain was still wrapped around me.

I did swift and big turns and the tortuga covered their mouth like they were gonna puke, letting go of the chain and tumbling on the road. I took the chain off my torso and threw it away.

Then a portal appeared in front of me and the blue tortuga ran out of it and went to attack me with his sword "Ohoho, yeah!!" but he missed me, falling face first on the ground. I looked back at him and laughed. I then realized I was heading straight for the portal and went inside. Once I got out the portal I was in the air. I gasped, pressing a button on my motorbike's control panel and the motorbike turned into a wind glider. I held tight on the handle and soared across the sky. "Oh jeez," I said.

I think I lost them... a big fist then came charging at me and hit me and my wind glider to the ground.. never mind. I shook it off and hid behind a trash can in an alleyway.

I saw the five tortugas run past the alleyway and I sighed in relief. Damn that was a long chase... next time when I try to spy on someone; I won't at all. I wonder if they were apart of what Zoey and April were doing. Jeez I hope not. Big tortugas with ninja weapons? Hell no. (^_^;)

I grabbed my wind glider and quickly ran to my bunker. Once I made it I took of my gear and suit, and then turned my wind glider back into a motorbike and put it my garage. I grabbed my backpack and headed out my bunker, tapping a button on my watch to close up the concrete.

Oh wait.. I just realized I lost my grappling hook... oh well— it's not hard to make one anyway.

I walked the sidewalk, heading to my parent's apartment. I looked down at my waist and gasped, realizing that I was still wearing my utility belt. I looked at the side of me and saw a mirror wall and checked myself out. "Damn I look good," I said with a confident smile.

What? It's good to be self-confident, plus I KNOW I am gorgeous. "Honestly this utility belt looks good with this," I said, before continuing to walk to my parent's apartment.

"Hey, Vee!" A familiar voice called out. I turned around and saw Zoey. "Oh hey, Zoey," I said, putting my hands in pocket.

"Hey, so... there's this big secret I have been keeping from you for a long time and I've been thinking this isn't really... well friends don't keep secrets from each other, so tomorrow I wanna show you— the secret," Zoey said, looking visibly nervous.

Ah so she is hiding something. I had feeling she was. "Okay, gracias, Zo," I said, giving her a soft embrace, before turning on my heel and walking again.

"I LOVE YOU, BESTIE!!!" Zoey shouted. "Love ya' too, girl," I said, kissing my fingers and raising them in the air.
