RINGGGG WAKE UPPPP.. RINGGG
ugh, what is that sound?

Andrea groaned at the sound of her phone alarm waking her up. She reached for the phone and turned the alarm off.

Andrea looked at the time on her phone, sigh "it's time for school.." she grumbled as she sits up on her bed.

She yawns and then stretched for a bit before getting up to get ready.

After showering, she chose some clothes to wear. She wore a plain white shirt and some jeans before going downstairs.

"Morning, mom" Andrea says to her mother.

"Morning, sweetie. Go on and take a seat at the table, your father already went to work earlier today." Her mom replied.

"Oh." Andrea said, then sat at the table to eat the breakfast her mother had prepared for her.

After finishing her breakfast, Andrea kissed goodbye her mother. Andrea then heads to school.

While walking to school, Andrea stops by Cole's house and waited.

"Andrea!" Cole called Andrea while walking up to her. "Did you wait long?" Cole asked.

"No, not really. Now let's go, we don't wanna be late, do we?" Andrea said grabbing Cole's hand and starts dragging him to school.

When they've arrived..

"Back to school, finally." Cole said happily. "Are you that happy?" Olive, their other friend said.

Andrea chuckled at her response. "Don't blame him, he likes slaving away to school work everyday." Andrea said.

"Whatever, let's go to class now" Olive said as she walked ahead of them.

Andrea, Cole, and Olive went to class together. In class Andrea notices some of her classmates had a change in their appearances.

Nadia had went to the beach this summer and got tanned,
Kate had one of her eyebrows pierced, Dion decided to start growing his hair out, and lots more.

Everybody in class is chatting and talking about how their summer was. The atmosphere is cheerful, so cheerful that they didn't see the teacher walking in.

"Excuse me, settle down." The teacher said and the whole class obeyed.

"Good morning, class. My name is Mr. Waller, I will be your teacher. So you all listen to me now."

The whole class was silent waiting for Mr. Waller to continue.

"Okay. Since it's only the first day back, I won't be giving you too much work. I want you to write an essay of what you did this summer."

The class groaned.
"Hey, I'm being nice here! I want it done by tomorrow."
The class groaned louder.
"Now do your work. If not, then be quiet".

Ugh, do I have to? Andrea thought to herself.

She then looked around the class and sees some classmates are doing work, some chatting, some using their phones. She then looked to Cole.

Of course Cole would do the work. I wonder what did he did in summer break.

Andrea approaches Cole. "Hey Cole, what did you do in summer break?" Andrea asked.

"Oh, nothing special." Cole answered.

While class was still going on, Andrea caught Kate staring at her. Kate quickly averted her gaze.

Andrea felt suspicious but left it at that.

After going through the 1st and 2nd period. It was the long awaited, lunch time.

Andrea, Cole and Olive sat together at lunch.

"So.. how were your classes?" Olive said wanting to start a conversation.

"Eh" Andrea shrugged.

"Same, eh." Cole added.

Olive groaned "I miss the summer already"

"I second that" Andrea said agreeing with Olive.

"..."

"Cole? Why do you look distracted?" Andrea asked.
"Is that- Kate?" Cole said.
"Huh?"

Andrea then saw Kate walking towards them.

"Andrea.." Kate greets her.

"Kate? What do you want?" Andrea said, rolling her eyes.

"A pony. How was your summer?" Kate asked.

"Why are you asking?" Andrea subconsciously leaned away from her.

"I'm just asking."

"Yea no, we're not friends. Why are you here?"

"You know what? Whatever!"
And with that, Kate walked away looking upset.

Andrea sat back down with her friends, while Cole and Olive stared at her. "What?" Andrea raised one of her eyebrows.

Olive then said "You know that was kinda harsh, right? She's just asking about your summer.."

"It's not my fault, she keeps coming back to start something!" Andrea said.

"You shouldn't just assume." Olive told Andrea. "Uhh she looked pretty upset.." Cole pointed out.

"Don't mind her. She's a diva, she's always like this." Andrea says, rolling her eyes.

This is gonna be a long day Cole said to himself.
