Telephone ringing

Is he gonna answer??
Andrea was waiting for Cole to answer her call.

The phone kept ringing and ringing until-

"Hello?"
"You finally answered!"
"Oh, sorry. I had something going on, on my side."
"It's fine. By the way, you won't believe what just happened today"
"Why don't you tell me?"
"Well.. while walking home I bumped into some stranger and they dropped an expensive antique ring. And when I tried to return it the policeman said to keep it."

.

"You don't believe me, do you?"
"..I'm sorry but that story-"
"YES, I know. I got the same lecture from my parents"
"Yes, but can you really blame them?"
"I guess not, but now they suspect I might be a thief, a thief!"
"Oh- sorry I got to go"
Sigh
"Yea sure, go ahead"
Beep

Ugh, now what?
My parents probably won't trust me much from now on.

Andrea looked to her bedside table, where the ring was placed.
This is your fault!

yawns..
I'm tired, I'm just gonna take a short nap.
And then she drifted away, into a land of slumber.

Andrea woke up in an unfamiliar place. She was on a patch of grass, surrounded by trees.

Where am I?

Andrea then sees flowers surrounding her, but they haven't bloomed.

Why haven't these flowers bloomed, yet? And why do they have such an odd appearance?

The flowers that surrounded her was a bit odd. The flowers have very long stems, so long they stacked up to make a short length but sturdy stem. Their petals are full of spikes, as if warning to only touch with your eyes.

After observing the flower for quite some time, Andrea notice the sky started changing rapidly.

The sky blue had turn into a darker shade, midnight blue. The sun appeared to be moving away, with the moon replacing it. White clouds had turned light blue.

Woah.. how is that possible?

The clouds that covered the moon shifted, then a light from the moon escaped and hits one of the flowers.

The flower then slowly opens.
Andrea was watching in awe, as it opened.

That's beautiful.. a bit odd, but
beautiful.

As Andrea observes the flower once more. She notices little details of the flower.

The flower's petals didn't only had spikes outside of the petals, but also inside of the petals. In the middle of the flower, there was a smaller flower. But it wasn't opened.

Andrea stops observing the said flower and looked around. She realized the other flowers had also bloomed.

She then looked back at the flower she was observing before.

Andrea's curiosity grew, and she reached out to open the smaller flower. But then, she just poked it's petals, and the whole flower closed up in a snap.

Fortunately, Andrea had retracted her hand just in time or else her hand might have suffered scars from the flower's spikes.

Andrea was in a daze as she watches the flower. Then she heard a snap. Quickly, she stood up and looked around.

All the flowers around were closing with a snap.

Andrea then notices a large shadow from behind her.

Turning around, she saw the flower before grew. The flower had also gotten taller because the stacked stems stretched and was longer.

The flower opened up the petals again, seeming like it was ready to swallow Andrea whole.

Before Andrea was able to react, she felt a hand grasp her shoulder.

That's when she awakes from her nap that lasted until dinner time.

"Andrea! Come down, dinner's ready." Andrea hears her mother call for her.

She gets up stretching, and rubs her head remembering the dream she supposedly had.

Andrea decides to go down and have dinner with her family.

She sat down opposite to her parents, rubbing her eyes as she sits.

"Did something happen? Why do you look so tired, sweetie?" Her dad asked her.

Using one of her hands to hold up her head, she replies "I'm fine, I just had a weird dream".

"Oh, everyone has weird dreams. You don't have to dwell on it too much." Her mom told her.

"Yea! Once in a dream, I kicked a soccer ball. But it turned out to be someone with a really bad haircut." Her dad mentioned one of his dreams.

Her mom chuckled at her dad's story. But, Andrea was just lost in thought.

That dream was very.. ambiguous.
