After school was over, Andrea was walking home alone because Cole had to meet up with somebody.
sigh
What's so urgent that he had to leave me walking alone..Andrea doesn't like walking alone, it felt unnatural as she was always accompanied by Cole.
She views her surroundings, and gets lost in her thoughts.
Suddenly she bumped into somebody.
"Sorry.." a quiet apology came from the stranger that quickly walked away after.
Andrea then saw the stranger dropped something and then picked it up.
Huh?
It was shiny and she was pretty sure very expensive.
It was an antique ring."Wait!" She called out to the stranger, but unfortunately they had already went away.
She decides to return it to the police station.
"No thanks."
"What?" Andrea said confused.
"Yea, listen. Nobody really comes here to take anything back, just keep it" The police at the desk said.
"A-are you serious?"
"Y-yes, I am." He says with a sarcastic tone, mocking her stutter. So that day Andrea just went home with the antique ring.
"And that's the story!!"
...
"Wait.. So you bumped into a stranger, that dropped an expensive antique ring (that was probably wrapped around their finger), and when you tried to return it, the guy at the desk told you to keep it?"
...
"Yes."
...
"So you didn't steal it?"
"Yes, do you really believed that I would do something like this?"
Andrea said, frustrated she had to explain her situation a bunch of times."No, of course not. I don't want to believe my child have anything to do with stealing, but you have to admit this story is not easy to believe." Andrea's mother said.
Her mother was right. Although it was a very unbelievably true story, it's kinda hard to believe.
But they have to believe their own daughter, right?
"Okay.. fine. But, what if the person came to the police station to find the ring?" Her mother asked.
"The police man will get fired then" Andrea's father responded, and followed his response with a laugh.
Sigh..
