Chapter 67

Valeriana's pov

It's the next day. I spent the rest of the day yesterday in bed with Verena. We watched movies. No she watched the movie you stared at her like a fucking creep. I can't help it. I haven't seen her fucking beauty in two damn weeks. I needed to take her in. Bless my eyes with her. Make sure she is still there. Even after I disappeared. And she is.

"You know Aurelio wants to see you. Nobody told him you were home yet but he still would want to see you," Verena spoke while walking into the room. I was finishing getting dressed for the day. My stomach twisted in knots. Great, he's going to kick me out for slitting his throat or yelling at me. "He's in his room when you're ready. He hasn't left it since you disappeared. The guys told him you were back and now he wants to see you."

While nodding my head I busy myself with getting my toothbrush prepared. I brush my teeth while my mind races. After spitting out the toothpaste and washing the brush off I set my toothbrush back in its spot. My eyes shift to the mirror. My face looked bad. Blue and purple covered various parts of my face. My lips had dried blood stuck in the cut. Holding it together.

When I left the bathroom I looked around for Verena but she wasn't in my room anymore. With a heavy sigh I leave my room. My brother's loud voices came from the dining room. As I walk by I see Valerico and Valentino and throw food at our eldest brothers. Nazario and Santino scolded them but Valerico and Valentino didn't care. They just laugh with each other. Aurelio wasn't in the room with them.

Verena did say he didn't leave his room often since the whole incident with the knife. That is not what she said! She said since you disappeared. Not tried to kill him. Same thing.

Alright I'll quickly see Aurelio and then get out of there. No need to bother him anymore. He needs to rest and heal. I still have yet to see how bad I got him. I never asked Verena how bad it was or wasn't.

As I near Aurelio's room I hear Miss Wells talking to him. He was casually talking with her. His voice was a bit scratchy and raw sounding. As if he hasn't talked much or was yelling too much.

"Just wait until the triplets find out we're dating," Miss Wells says. Aurelio chuckles. I stop mid stride. My eyes widened. They are together! Oh god. We did it! I have to tell the guys. I spin around and rush down the stairs. You're just stalling! I ran into the dining room. I skidded to a stop but my socks made me slip. I crash to the floor.

"What the hell, Valer?" Santino asked. I jump up with a laugh.

"We did it. We need confetti. Oo or we can just throw a party!" I state. My brothers all look at me with confused looks. They glance at each other. A worried expression soon appeared.

"What are you talking about?" Nazario asked.

"Laurelio. They're a thing now," I mutter. Valerico, Valentino, and Matteo all shoot up out of their seats. Verena rolls her eyes at us.

"I have confetti!" Matteo shouts.

"We have glitter!" the Vales shouts. You do realize you are a part of the Vales now, right?

"Woah, you both are not allowed glitter," Papà states sternly. My eyebrow raised. I look at my brothers.

"What did you do?" I asked. There was clearly a reason they weren't allowed glitter.

"Glitter bombed the whole house," Valerico laughs. I hide my smile by turning around. Seems we all have a thing for glitter.

"What are we waiting for?" Matteo asked. The Vales ran out of the room with Matteo. Santino, Nazario and papà all let out a deep sigh.
