Chapter 11

Valeriana's pov

My body was jolted causing me to wake up. Monroe held a fucking taser to my side. She quickly ran from the room. I take a moment to recover from being tased before I run out of the room. Damn her! I was getting some good ass sleep until she ruined it. I push myself over the railing, not bothering with the stairs. I land on my feet.

"Woah, what the hell?" Aurelio shouts.

"What did you fucking do Monroe?" Trey shouts. Monroe held the button to the taser. Causing a buzz to sound as she laughed. She continued to hold the button as I went to grab the taser from her. "You're a dumbass," Trey shouts at her. Monroe moved her arm. I jerk mine back when she tried to touch me with the taser. My face hardened. I dodge all of her attempts to tase me before I hit her in the stomach. My arm hooked around hers before I positioned her arm in an uncomfortable position. I grabbed the taser from her before I pressed the prongs to her side and pressed the button. She groans before I let go of the button.

"I knew I should have fucking locked my door with you here, you bitch," I say. I walk over to Trey and hand him the taser.

"You fucking tased her?" Aurelio asked. He was glaring at Monroe. I smile at Monroe.

"She does it all the time, it's nothing. Relax. Where are the others?" I asked.

"Zario and Santino left for work. The boys are in the gym," Aurelio says. I nod my head. Trey and Monroe walk towards the gym. "Are you sure you're ok? Your side is red," Aurelio says. His eyes on my side. I was wearing a sports bra and shorts since my room was boiling hot last night. I watch as Aurelio's eyebrows furrow as he looks over my scars. I turn around and head towards the gym. "Valeriana!" my brother shouts at me. I pull the gym door open. Aurelio grabbed my arm and spun me around. The gym door slamming shut behind him. My brothers were laughing with their friends and mine.

"Who did it?" he asked softly. I looked away from my other brothers as they looked towards us to see why the door was slammed. They couldn't hear us because of the distance between us.

"It's nothing, Aurelio," I mutter.

"Nothing!" he shouted before lowering his voice, "Valeriana, this isn't nothing. The scars are fucking huge meaning the wound was major. You said it yourself, you are an honest person so why are you lying about this?" he asked. I ripped my arm out of his hand.

"I don't want to talk about it," I say.

"Alright, tell me whenever you are comfortable. I'm not going to force you to tell me. But you are grounded for lying about staying home last night. I'm mad about the racing thing but if you promise to stay as safe as you can I'll allow it. You're the best female racer out there, I can't really stop you from doing it. You did it before you met us and I'm not here to control your life, Valeriana. You're our sister not our puppet. Getting high is not going to happen again, though. I don't care what the hell you used to get high, you will not do drugs. Look how it turned out for our mother. No drugs, Valeriana," Aurelio says. I look him in the eyes before nodding. He's mad about the whole racing thing just wait until he finds out I'm an assassin. Currently a non working assassin but still an assassin nonetheless.

"Now your dads, can you tell me about them? How did you meet, why do you call them your dads?" Aurelio asked. I shook my head.

"I don't want to yet," I mutter quietly.

"You're my baby sister, Valeriana, I'm just trying to get to know you. They are a part of your life so that means knowing them. I'm tired of you hiding from us. We want to get to know you again. I remember you as a kid but that isn't you anymore. You've changed, not by much but there is a difference. We may be family by blood but I can tell that doesn't mean shit to you. The people you form a bond with are your family. Your dads and your two friends back there. They are your family. I know that but your brothers and I are not going anywhere. The sooner you realize this and get to know us the better it will be for all of us. We can be a family again. It's been years but just know papà never stopped looking for you after mamma left with you. Then when he passed Zario and I kept looking. I guess spending time with the mafia gives you everything you need to know to hide from one. When mama died then we were able to find you," Aurelio says.

He knew I was hesitant about bonding with them. The only family I had was my mother or so I thought. She abandoned, neglected, abused, and tried to profit off me by selling my body to creepy fucking guys. She let me down and I was just waiting for my brothers to do the same. I didn't want to get hurt by getting to know them and then be let down later. I also don't know if they will do that because I don't know who they are. What I do know is that family is everything to them. They had family meals together. Since I've been with them I would sit on the stairs and listen as they all had dinner. I could tell they loved each other. They would laugh and joke around but all of them were there every time it was breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

"I gotta go to work, Valeriana. I'll see you later if you allow it," Aurelio says before walking out of the room. I take a deep breath before nodding my head. I'll give them a chance. One chance and they better not fuck it up. After blowing air out of my mouth I walk over to my brothers and friends.

"What was that about?" Matteo asked. I frown at them.

"Those two are fucking snitches," I say pointing at the twins. "Aurelio didn't know I was high, only you two. Also I'm grounded for lying. Technically I only lied to the guys. You three knew I was leaving. Aurelio said I had to tell one of you if I was leaving. I told three brothers. It doesn't make sense I'm grounded when no rules were broken," I ranted. My three brothers smirked.

"We told him we had no clue you were going to be there last night," Valentino smirked. I give him a smile before laughing evilly. I rip the taser out of Trey's back pocket. I tased all three of my siblings.

"Assholes," I snapped.

"Yes!" Monroe shouts. I glare at her.

"You're not getting your taser back. I'm still pissed about being woken up this morning by this," I say before zapping Monroe in the side again. She jumps away from me causing me to smile. My eyes shift to Trey, Verena, and Lucian when they step away from me. They didn't want to get tased next. Valentino had his nose scrunched up from the previous pain. I tase him again.

"What the hell was that for?" he yelped. I smile at him.

"You looked stupid," I say. Valerico chuckles, causing me to tase him again.

"Why?" he whined.

"You share the same stupid face as him," I state. With my eyes still on Valerico I tase Matteo one more time. "You have a stupid haircut, Matteo," I mutter before tossing the taser to Trey.
