At Elena house
Elena walked into her house and went upstairs to get her pajamas on. A few minutes later she heard the door opened
Elena ran down the stairs to see who it was
Elena: Dad?
Merida: nope it's your mom dad is closing up he should be home soon.
Elena: ok
Merida: everything ok?
Elena: Yeah, I got some explaining to do with Dad. He saw me and Stefan and Stefan's dad.
Merida: I got a text about that.
Elena: I figured Dad would text you.
Merida: you want to talk about it now?
Elena: I can't wait until Dad gets home.
Merida: I'm going to go to bed
Merida walks upstairs
The door opened
Elena: Dad?
Grayson: what was the deal with you today having dinner with bob
Elena: Dad I can explain
Grayson: explain now, please
Elena: What happened was Stefan called for my help. when I got to the boarding house he told me he needed help with his dad.
Grayson: When Bob is in town stay away from him, please. He is bad news.
Elena: Got it Dad.
Grayson: Is Stefan ok now?
Elena: he is ok he is just mad why his dad gave him the ring and not Damon
Grayson: let him know if you need anyone else to talk I'm here for him
Elena: thanks Dad and I will let him know
They went upstairs to go to bed
The next day at Kate's apartment in New York City
Stacy nocks on the door
Kate opened the door
Stacy: you all ready to go
Kate: yeah I'm all ready to go
They leave Kate's apartment to go to the airport
At the boarding house after school in Stefan's room
Elena: Stefan, do you think Zach knows we are dating now?
Stefan: probably who knows.
Elena: Do you think you should tell him?
Stefan: I will soon no worries
Elena: Did you read the note?
Stefan: nope
Elena: You want to read it?
Stefan: no
Elena: So you're not wondering why your dad gave the ring to you and not Damon?
Stefan: I am but if I read the note I may get mad or upset
Elena: I'm here for you.
