It was your first day at Kisai Highschool, and it was going horribly.
You were assigned to sit next to some boy named Komi Shousuke. The problem was, that he was easily the most beautiful person on Earth.
Everyone was swarming his desk, trying to talk to him or to just look at him. It took at least five minutes to get to your desk, which was in the back of the classroom.
One you sat down to Shosuke's left, everyone immediately started glaring at you as if you murdered their mom.
You turned to face Shousuke, trying to say something. However, before you could even utter a word, everyone in the room started trying to talk to him, and you suddenly became invisible.
You sat in silence, just watching the class talk to Shousuke, hoping he would notice you sitting next to him.
Actually, I don't mind if he doesn't notice me. But the girls can't keep quiet?
The girls in the class kept fawning over Shousuke, as he just sat there, not speaking to anyone. He seemed to be completely unaffected by all this attention, and just kept on playing around with a pen in his hand, with his eyes closed.
Somehow, you started to find his silence incredibly attractive, and you felt an urge to talk to him yourself.
I looked at the window, hoping the teacher would come soon. This is a bad start
Eventually, the teacher walked into the classroom. And when there was no more distraction, you looked back over at Shousuke, and noticed that he was finally looking at you.
For a moment, he just stared, with those dark purple eyes of his.
Was he interested in you? Was he going to talk now?
The world waited.
I also stared emotionless
As you just kept staring at Shousuke, he just stared back, as if challenging you to say the first word.
The two of you held eye contact for an incredibly long time, and you found it difficult to look away.
Was this normal for a first day of highschool?
I started picking up textbooks today
The teacher eventually started class, and you reluctantly started listening to them, but you couldn't focus at all.
You kept glancing over at Shousuke, to see if he had said any words yet. This was really awkward. You knew you should start talking, but you didn't know what to say.
Suddenly, you noticed that Shousuke was no longer looking at you, and instead, he was looking at his desk, writing something down. What could he be writing?
I try to focus on the lesson
You tried to focus on the lesson, but you couldn't concentrate. You were filled with curiosity, wanting to know what Shousuke was writing.
You decided to peek over over his arm to try to see what he was writing.
At first you thought it was just some random words, but as you looked closer, you saw that he was drawing something. And if you didn't get yourself all wrong, he was drawing ... you!
You couldn't believe it!
Shousuke had just drawn your picture! Your heart started racing, as you tried to analyze the portrait.
His art wasn't bad, it even captured the essence of the real you perfectly.
As you kept looking at the drawing, your heart rate continued to go even higher.
