☆Chapter 2☆

I hear my alarm ringing, which means it's 7:15, which means it's time to get ready for work.

I get up and head to the bathroom to take a shower and freshen up, and once I'm done, it's 7:45.

I don't have much to do, so it usually takes me about 30 minutes to get ready. I head to my closet and pull out a pair of black jeans and a baggy top and a zip up hoodie.

I put on my Converse, fetch a black face mask, fetch my bag, put my keys inside, and head downstairs.

I connected my phone to my Airpods, and when I finished and looked, the living room and kitchen were a total mess. There's bottles and broken bottles everywhere.

Since it's 8:03 right now and I have 42 minutes before i have to be at the cafe, I decide to clean the small apartment.

I'm done cleaning it up by 8:30, and it usually takes me about 10 minutes to get to work, so I know I'll be on time.

I wash my hands, get my bag off the table, and leave the house.

I put in my Airpods and head to work.

I reach the cafe at by 8:45, right on time, and I put on my apron.
I start taking the chairs of the tables and wiping them down when Anaya and Mrs Anderson walk in.

Mrs Ashley Anderson is the owner of the cafe, and she's been like a mother to me for as long as I can remember, and I've always considered her my 2nd mother for as long as I can remember.

"Goodmorning Ali" say Ashley and Ana at the same time. As much as I hate calling Mrs Anderson by her first name, she's always insisted that I do.

"Good morning guys," I reply.

"Have you eaten this morning?" Ashley asks. "Yes, I have." But Ashley and Ana can see right through me.

"Don't lie to us," Ana says, and I giggle. Ashley walks towards me with a muffin and a chocolate chip cookie on a plate and a coffee.

"I can't take this Ashley," "You should know by now that I'd never not let you take them, so stop fighting."

I sigh as I take the breakfast and eat it up before we open.

It's now 8:55, and we're about to open, so I head to counter and put on my face mask.

"Oh dear, you need to top wearing that thing." Ashley says. "Yes, Ashley, please tell her," Ana agrees. "Trust me, if you looked anything like me, you'd be wearing it to" I whisper under my breath but somehow Ashley manages to hear me and hits on the head "Nonsense" she says "You're beautiful and you need to start seeing that"

I look away as tears well up in my eyes, and i hear Ashley and Ana sigh as they walk into the back.

Customers start arriving, and I start taking their orders and taking it to them.

After an hour the cafe is full of people like it is on the daily so it's nothing new.

I hear the door cafe door jingle, and I head to the back and ask Ana to check the counter for me while I use the bathroom.

Once I finished in the bathroom, I head back to the counter, and I see Ana staring at a table closer to the back. When I get to her, she starts telling me about a boy she just saw walk in at that table.

While she's telling me her story someone's rings the counter bell and we both look to attend to the person.

"Oh my gosh," I hear Ana whisper, and she goes to take his order, and once she's done, she comes back.

"Ali, did you see that guy? Did you? Oh my gosh, I think I'm gonna pass out. Ali, catch me."
I chuckle as I see her so happy and excited about this guy.

One they're items are ready, we both have to take them because they ordered quite a lot of things and as soon as I see all of them I understand why.

There are 4 people at the table, 1 girl and 3 boys. One of the guys and the girl look similar, so I'm guessing they're related, and the other 2 are probably just their friends. We put the stuff on the table, and we walk away.

"Did you see how that other one looked at you?" Ana says.
"I'm sure he was looking at you,"
"No, he was definitely staring at you, I'm sure of it"
"Oh Ana, come on, if he didn't look at you, he definitely didn't look at at me"

"You need to gain some confidence because you are gorgeous," Ana says and I smile at her, hoping she can still see it under the mask.

The group of people finish their food and leave the cafe, and I see Ana and the same dude looking at each other, and I chuckle and head to the back to check on Ashley.

A few hours go by, and we're closing up an hour early because it's been quiet, so we decided to close up.

While sweeping the floors, I get a message from my boyfriend, Adam, telling me to go see him and I reply with

Aaliyah: "Give me 20 minutes,and i can see you for 40 minutes, okay?"

Adam: "Okay."

I finished cleaning up, and I tell Ana where I'm going and she looks annoyed because she's not the biggest fan of Adam.

I chuckle, and she says, "Be safe, i love you," to which I reply with an "I will, i love you too," and she hugs me.

"Bye Ashley," I yell
"Goodbye dear, I'll see you tomorrow," she yells back.

I then leave the cafe and head to Adam's happy to see him because I haven't seen him in like a week.
