The school bells rung, and the three groups of friends made their way to the Gym. The first thing Minho noticed was the huge crowd taking up most of the bleachers. Girls screaming for their team, mostly Chan and Hyunjin. The Cheerleaders tried to dance seductively, attempting to catch either one of their attention.
"It's just a practice game, why are there cheerleaders here?" Jisung grimaced at the sight upon him.
"Probably because they're just whipped." Felix shrugged as he walked trying to find a place to sit.
"C'mon hyung," Jisung dragged Minho along with him to the bleachers. Minho looked around at the people but as he landed on some unwanted faces, his heart sank.
"You guys watch, I-I have to g-go." Minho tried to get out of Jisung's grip but the younger one wouldn't let him go.
"You said you were free, why would you go all of a sudden." Jisung pulled Minho back and climbed up the bleachers.
"Ji, I really need to go." Minho panicked as several unwanted eyes were on him.
"Why? We just got here-"
"Why are you here?" A bulky male smirked once he saw Minho.
Minho Pov:
My heart beat had gotten faster, I felt the color draining from my face. The doctor told me to not stress too much but here I am panicking.
"Ji, I have to go, I'm sorry." I was too weak to pull out of his grip. My frail body didn't have much strength.
"Where are you headed baby?" Alex cooed at me. I hated this, the uncomfortable feeling was way too strong. And it was embarrassing, Jisung and Felix had to see me like this. I looked down feeling tears building up. They clung to my cheeks as they slowly rolled down.
"Look at him, he's so weak." Stephanie laughed at me. Well she isn't wrong, I am weak. So I guess they do have some brain cells left.
"Don't look down, look at me baby boy." Alex walked closer to me lifting my chin up forcing me to look at him. I just barely looked to my side to see Jisung and Felix shocked. I couldn't blame them.
When I felt like crumbling a basketball hit Alex's forehead, he yelled in pain.
"Get the fuck away from him." A fire-like voice came in between us. I was thankful but who was it? I tilted my head up, Chan.
"Man, you're ruining the fun." Alex rolled his eyes, blood ran down from his nose, he walked away with stephanie. I was grateful it was only them. Usually there were even more people.
"You're okay" Chan hugged me. I didn't respond, I wanted the ground to swallow me whole. Anytime now would be great. The warmth I felt in Chan's arms was lovely. It was only Changbin and my Mom who hugged me but this felt different. I felt butterflies in my stomach.
"M-minho hyung...?" Jisung stuttered calling me. Chan pulled away but kept a hand on my shoulder gently squeezing it.
"I'm okay," I whispered, my voice getting foggy. Jisung and Felix had immediately hugged me, I've never had two people hug me at the same time before. This was new. I liked it.
"I'm sorry," Felix whispered in my ear.
"Why would you be sorry?" I asked genuinely confused.
" We just stood there watching, we didn't even help you." Felix squeezed me tighter. It felt a little suffocating but I just chuckled at them.
"Give him some space," Chan pulled Felix and Jisung off me. "You should sit in the front where I can keep an eye on you." Chan took my hand taking my own bleachers. I felt my cheeks redden and my stomach did a 360. There was the euphoric feeling I was getting. I couldn't explain it in words, that's impossible.
Chan forced me down in the front right next to the benched players on our school team, I could feel Hyunjin's glare at me from the bench. I just gulped looking away. When Chan left Jisung and Felix both started wiggling their eyes at me.
"What are you doing.....?" I was confused.
"Your face was all red when Chan hyung took your hand and he said his Romeo-like words to you." Jisung smirked.
"W-what.... I don't know what you're talking about. I looked away from him to the court.
"Sure you don't," Felix laughed. I ignored both their remarks and continued to watch the court. The game hadn't started yet but the players were warming up shooting baskets. I looked at Chan, his biceps were revealed through the white jersey he wore. I could see his build shape from the jersey clinging onto him from sweat. His blond hair was a little long and curly. He had knee length white socks and basketball shoes. The way I moved his body was really attractive, and the smile. The smile was everything. He looked at me for a second and waved, grinning at me. I couldn't help but wave back.
"Are you sure you don't have something for Chan hyung?" Felix asked me to lean on him.
"No..."
"Then why do you look at him like he's your everything." Jisung asked.
"That's a really good question, you should go ask my guardian angel, if I have one."
Jisung slapped my shoulder, "Of course you have one, everybody does." The slap didn't necessarily sting, it was more playful.
After a few minutes the players lined up hearing the speech their coaches made. Sometime later, the team set up at the court, the ball was held by the referee in the middle. Ni-ki, one of the players on our team, was in the middle facing down from another tall player on the opposing team. Once the whistle blew the referee threw the ball in the air.
For a millisecond, there was a small fight in the air, and some landed back on the floor with the ball in their hand already dribbling to the other side of the court.
The opposing team had gotten to it before Ni-ki took the ball from him. This looked interesting and I've never been interested in sports. I don't if I really was interested since I've only been looking at Chan the entire time. I knew Felix and Jisung noticed with the looks and smirk I've gotten from them.
The dinner was definitely gonna be wild tonight.
