Shivers sent down my spine every time his fingers glazed my skin. My back slowly lowered and placed against the mattress, the dark night blanketing the sky. His bedroom was dim and the moon shone through the thin curtains.
His breath was hot against my burning skin, somehow, neither of us felt uncomfortable. We just went with the flow and somehow ended up in his house while his parents were away.
"You're so pretty," He hummed and started to kiss from my jaw down to my neck.
"T-thank you," I said getting flustered at the compliment but I didn't want him to end it. The praises were like a harmony that kept me going.
"You don't have to thank me, Butterfly I'm just telling the truth." He smiled softly kissing my cheek. I felt his hand slip into my shirt softly massaging my stomach while he playfully kissed my face,
"Channie," I said giggling. It was like I was in heaven. A heaven where I could be happy.
"Yes, Butterfly." His lips were just centimeters away from mine, begging to be touched. Wanting to feel the warmth of the other.
~~~
"C-chan~," I said feeling a sting below.
"It'll feel better, I promise."
And it did.
~~~
Our panting breaths as we rode our highs, heat covered my body, and love filled my heart. Chan fell beside me and cradled me in his arms close to him.
"I love you, Lee Minho." He said, his voice was breathy but melted my heart and brought warmth to my freezing ocean.
"I love you too, Mr. Bang," I laughed.
You have a month to decide.
I suddenly remembered my doctor's words. Water was building up at the brim of my eys I tried to blink them away but my messy feeling let one slip out.
"Hey, why are you crying?" He said getting worried.
"N-no reason," I said quickly looking away. Chan sat up and moved my face back to him.
"You know you can tell me anything, right?" He said. The man before me made me feel safe even if we were stranded in the middle of nowhere. The way he talked to me was like no one else. He was above all, different.
"You know how I'm sick. . . ." I said barely in a whisper.
"Mmm, is it about that? Cause I don't–"
"I can't guarantee I'll live Chan." I interrupted him. His mouth was open mid-speech, his eyes wide with shock but the silence in the room was loud.
"Min baby," He said cupping one of my cheeks.
"I have 2 options, medicine that could ease my pain but I'll wither away slowly, or surgery. . ."
"There's something bad about the surgery isn't there?" His voice sounded normal but a hint of caring.
"The survival rate isn't anything above 5%."
"Hmmmm," He said thinking but tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear.
"So it's best if we don't–"
"You can say anything but I'm not leaving, not today, not ever. I'll make an oath to that."
"Chan–"
"Minho," He said firmly. "I'm not fucking leaving."
And that's when I broke. Tears spilled out of my eyes like melted crystals, illuminating my skin against the moon's light.
I hugged him feeling his body wrap me in his warmth.
"I don't wanna die." I sobbed against his chest tears pooled out. My crying and his comforting. I was so damn lucky to meet him and I'm never letting him go now.
A few minutes later I calmed down still dead inside but lively enough to love him.
"My gentle ocean." He smiled.
"My strong fire." I finished before sealing it with a kiss.
Our silhouettes in the dark, a couple to never be separated. It was official.
I was his.
And he was mine.
