~Chapter Two~

{Kayla POV}

Kayla looked into her bathroom mirror. Today was her first day at her new school, and she didn't know why she was extremely nervous. She always acted shy around people, though secretly she just wanted to always be around people who could make her laugh and smile. She tied her red hair into a messy top knot, her signature hair style. She scrutinized her face while her mind wandered to yesterday, when she had met Luke. She really liked him, he made her laugh and they had a lot in common and she was hoping he would recognize her at school. Kayla contemplated putting makeup on though she didn't bother as she was only going to school and so shehad no one to impress. Thoguhg she decided to apply some concealor and blush to her already flawless face, letting her insecurities get the better of her. She put her school uniform on, the tight white shirt and knee high green skirt made her feel very insecure about her legs. For some reason Kayla never saw how beautiful she was and never realised boys looking at her or girls being jealous of her. Kayla just didn't care what people thought, which was why her nervousness baffled her.

The school wasn't very big. Only about four hundred people attended. She scanned the courtyard spotting a familiar head of blonde messy hair and slightly tanned skin. She smiled when he turned around and waved, recognizing her.

{Luke POV}

Luke turned around from his friends and saw her messy bright red hair and pale skinny arms, she was leaning against the fence and he waved at her. He started to walk over to her trying to flatten his hair, suddenly self conscious.

"Hi, do I know you?" Luke joked but when he saw her face fall and he realised that she'd taken him seriously he quickly corrected myself. "I'm only joking, how are you this fine morning?" he asked, trying again. Smooth Luke, real good job he thought sarcastically to himself.

"Well, I was woken up at six o'clock on a perfectly good day that shouldn't be ruined by school" She replied frowning and used her hands to shield her eyes from the harsh sun. Luke stood in front of her blocking the sun. "So how do you think I'm doing?" Luke could tell that she was on edge for some reason.

Luke shrugged. "Are you nervous about going to a new school or something?" He decided that he would introduce her to his friends, after all if he liked her so much he didn't see a reason why his friends wouldn't. She nodded she he grabbed her hand and pulled her over to his friends.

{Kayly POV}

Kayla liked most of his friends, there was two guys who were both tanned from the sun with salt water damaged hair just like Luke. Then there were three girls, two of them seemed nice enough though one of the girls, named Samantha, glared at Kayla when she saw Luke holding her hand. Kayla ignored the look, it wasn't like the girl had anything to be jealous of. Even so, she let go of Luke's hand. She didn't want to come into his friendship group and stir things up.

The day went by just like every other school day, and Kayla only got lost once. After school Luke offered for her to come to the beach and go surfing and swimming with him and his friends. She accepted his offer though kept the fact that she couldn't surf to herself.

~End chapter~

Alright so that's chapter two what do you think? Is it interestng? I understand that these first two chapters have been quite short, though don't worry because I intend to make them longer the more I get into the story. Also, tthis style of writing is more targeted to the general teen age audience and less mature  than my usual writing. That being said I apologize for this story not being such good quality However I am enjoying writing it so far (:
