~chapter 1~

" Emmaligh! Get up for school! Right now!" Yells my mothers. " don't forget to do your chores!"
" yes m'am." I answer back.
" I have company coming over. You best be on your best behavior!" Replied my mother. Hope you do your chores before the bus arrives!"
I answer with the same reply. " yes m'am." When my mom left for work. I started working on my chores. I don't understand why my mother doesn't do anything for fun. All she does is set up meetings, makes me do chores, and carry the depression she has with her.
( ring, ring), (ring, ring.),
"Hello?!" I answer as I pick up the phone.
" hello, darling. I have news!"
" okay, what is it might be?" I questioned.
" I'm sorry,.it's me, mrs Lenovo. School shall be shut down." She cried.
"Why, wait. What happened?" I implored. "Tell me, please."
" I'm sorry I'm not the one who should tell you!" Mrs. Lenovo gets louder. " good day."
" wait!" I hurried. " for how long?" I started panicking.
" well your gonna be devestated. For weeks and weeks. I'm pretty sure. Now I must go, good day."
As she hung I started to question myself. "Okay!?" I whispered my thought out loud. So then after this situation, I simply called my mother and forwarded the news. I panic into the phone.
" my apologies for my daughter. It won't happen again." My mum apologizes to her boss. Let take this in the hall. I'll take care of it."
"Emmaligh! Don't you see!, I'm in an important meeting here! We'll talk about this later!" My mother scolds at me over the phone. So I get off the phone in depression and nervous of being in trouble.
After I finished my chores and relaxed a little, I waited for my mother's arrivals from her job, waiting for my punishment. I kept regretting why I was a burden to my mother today. If she gets fired because of me, I see my future punishment.
"Yes!" I was excited. It was 4 o'lock, my mother should be he soon. I was also nervous to see what my mother's reaction would be. I meet her in the driveway carrying grocery bags.
"Hello. Did u have a nice day?" I asked her nervously trying to start a conversation. "HELLO!? THATS ALL YOU SAY IS HELLO!?"My mother scolds at me once again. " DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU CAUSED ME! Huh? I HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED FROM WORK!"
" sorry." I whisper in a fearing cry.
"ALSO,WHY WERENT YOU AT SCHOOL TODAY! NO CHILD OF MINE IS GOING TO SKIP HER EDUCATION THAT SHE NEEDS!"
"I'm not skipping!" I whined. " well, my school has been closed."
"I'm calling in!" My mother screamed, not believing me. I started talking back to make her believe me but, it never worked.
"It's true! mrs. Lenovo called in this morning! She won't tell me why!"
" IM TIRED OF THIS! GO TO YOUR ROOM!"
