Just so you know I NEVER wanted to be a Half-Blood. If you're reading this because you think you might be one, my advice is: close this book right now. Believe whatever lie your mom or dad told you about your birth, and try to lead a normal life.

Being a half-blood is dangerous. It's terrifying. and most of the time, it gets you killed in painful, gruesome ways. My name is Morrigan. And I'm eleven years old. Until a few months ago I was a student at East Shores Boarding School a small all girls private school in Upstate New York.  I could start at any point in my short miserable life but things really started going bad last April, when our Fifth-grade class took a field trip to Upper Manhattan- thirty-five kids and two teachers on a yellow school bus. heading to the Natural History Museum to look at ancient Greek and Roman stuff. Sounds like a total snooze fest. But I had My hopes up. My best friends Coast and Orcid were in my group and that was enough to get me through my day. Now to set the scene me Orcid and Coast are chilling in a three seater when our resident bully Jade Nightingale Sat across from us. She had jet black stringy hair and grey freckles that did not match her equally grey eyes. She was definitely too short for an eleven year old.

You see Jade hated us because we were 'different'. I'm thinking she had a few issues at her old school if you know what I mean.

"Ugh, I can't take it anymore, LET ME AT HER" Coast whispered loudly.

"You know what would happen if you do." I say, " anyway We're already on probation cause of what happened the last time we 'let you at her'"

Coast sighs in defeat and slumps down. Coast has been at this school way longer than I have. I mean she's been here since last year Which is a record for her, she says.

As the bus pulls up to the museum Jade gives us one last dirty look before leaving with her group... Little did we know that would be the last time we ever saw her.
