Chapter 8

Morrigan

Monster gets closer, skeletons come from cracks in the ground. I shadow travel to Benji who was frozen in place grabbing him by the arm and I travel us across the field out of sight from the monster.

"ARE YOU STUPID" he whisper yelled

"Oh wow thank you for saving my life Morrgian," I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm. I quickly stand up ready to shadow travel back to our friends, he stops me.

"No need to shadow travel "

"What?" I look around

The fight was all around us.

"Well that was a waste of energy" I say as I slash at the monster that was about to stab Jason in the back. But I was too late, Jason fell to the ground with a thud.I suddenly woke up breathing heavily. I sigh softly before turning on my side and fall into sleep once again.

Coast

"Will said you wanted to see me" I mentioned walking up to selina

"I wanted to apologise for forcing Nora to tell you she liked you" she calmly stated

"Wait what ?"

"I noticed the way you act around each other and well I confronted her and she said she liked you then I helped her write that love poem and well all of this happened"

"Oh um well uh"

"Well the main reason I wanted to talk to you was I wanted to make sure you're ok my mom tends to make fanfiction like romance among demigod and expects me and my siblings to go along willingly"

"WELL OF COURSE I'M NOT OKAY!!!"

"Look you weren't wrong for feeling that way she shouldn't have taunted you like that"she calmly stated putting her arm around me "We're only twelve it's not right my mom is this brutal but love is dangerous like a bull you just have to learn how to learn how to take it by the horns and deal with the bumps and bruises it leaves" Selina calmly stated. So many things I could have said but I couldn't force the words out of my mouth. All I could do was cry and cry and cry. It felt as if sadness was the only emotion I had left. I cried until it was dark out. I cried until every bone in my body ached. Then I saw the harpies coming out so she ran back to her cabin, went to the infirmary because apparently I am "not mentally ok" and went to sleep. That night I had the worst nightmare ever. I saw myself when I killed her my eyes were glowing blue and I seemed to not have control

"Shut it OFF!" Then the room changed. I was in a mirror maze and I looked up to see my eyes glowing blue. I was curled up in a ball and then in the mirrors people from camp showed up each talking about how psychotic I am, each one getting worse then Nora was in the mirror.

"You aren't worthy of anyone's love" she said then the room turned black and I was left alone rocking in the corner crying my eyes out. Just then I felt a pair of eyes watching me and then heard footsteps.

"What do you want? Are you going to tell me how I should be dead just like everyone else?"

"Wasn't planning on it. I honestly don't think I even know you," Their voice sounded familiar when they sat down next to me and I saw their face. I knew I had met them before.
