(A/N) some angsty fluff !!

Some Tay lore will be added here, but it may contain a triggering topic on family issues ⚠️

fyi, Eugee is a nickname that Tay calls him, so don't be confused if it's a typo!

EUGENE was stroking Tay's back, still trying to comfort him, despite the fact he was asleep as they were hugging.

Eugene knew that Tay was tired- both physically and emotionally- Tay was drained of energy because he hasn't gotten a wink of sleep from the past few nights, and from the yelling earlier.

"Tay... you could've just told me, you know?" Eugene mumbled to his best friend, but silence was the reply given to him.

The silence was interrupted by Eugene's phone, as Myles messaged the chat, saying they brought chocolate-coated strawberries for Tay.

Eugene sighed, and carried Tay, who was still clutching onto him- over to the couch so that he can lie down properly.

TAY groaned as Eugene was tapping him, waking him up from his slumber.
Tay opened his eyes, which hurt a little especially since he has been crying himself to sleep, and saw Eugene staring right at him.

"Myles and Kit brought you chocolate-coated strawberries, wake up." Eugene said to him, playing with Tay's floofy, black hair.
Tay looked at Eugene, his eyes were a little darker than usual, as it had no sparkle as it usually did, because that was all drained from crying... and it was his fault.

"Come on, don't you want some chocolate-coated strawberries...?" Eugene said in sing-songy tone which seemed so forced, but he did it just to try cheer up his best friend.

Everything was silent- tension was hanging between them- until Tay suddenly said; "I want Myles' cat"

Eugene looked at him in disbelief. "ok..." Eugene grabbed his phone, and texted the gc.

They were both guilty. It was basically betrayal for the both of them- no different from partners in crime, both turning each other in at the end of the heist. They both didn't tell each other anything, which led to different roads of miscommunication, now suddenly so lost about where they are and what happened to them.

EUGENE texted their friend group while occasionally glancing at Tay, checking if he was ok.

Each time he looked at Tay, he just looked different now for some reason... the Tay he knew once was always smiling, eyes that sparkled with energy, and up and about some stupid pranks- now his eyes are dark, and the circles under them were no different, and he was just laying on a single spot for almost a whole hour, not a single bit of energy in him.
Eugene knew he was one of the reasons that caused this sorrow to happen.

"Tay, can we talk...?" Eugene suddenly broke the silence between them. Tay just turned his head and looked up at his friend. "sure, what's up." Tay said so dryly.

"Tay, you know what I mean."

"There's nothing to talk about, actually..."

"You and I know all too well that it is something, Tay."

 "It doesn't matter anymore, Eugene"

"Tay, are we seriously going to have this conversation again?"

"No, because there's nothing to talk about."

"Tay-" Before Eugene could finish, Tay got up from the couch, and slammed the door to his room.
