jeongin's pov
i'm still reeling from what happened on friday, between me and seungmin. i haven't seen him since the visit to the book café, and i couldn't care less.

it'd be so awkward.

'innie! we're here~' felix shouted through the door leading to my bedroom. 'the door was unlocked, so we let ourselves in.' he skipped into the room, holding changbin's hand as he did so. i glanced at their intertwined hands, giving changbin a suggestive look.

he turned away, but i could see the faint blush on his cheeks.

lovebirds...

'i'm glad you guys could come for the study session, exams are starting soon.' i lifted a thick stack of books and my laptop onto the bed with a 'thump', dust flying everywhere. the three of us coughed, the dust getting into our noses and eyes. felix sneezed a few times, 'jeongin! what's with the dirty-ass books?!'

sheepishly, i said, 'i may or may not have used them for a year... i'm sorry! i just hate math and science so much!'

felix rolled his eyes, 'i mean, they aren't so bad... i could understand most of what was taught this year.'

i deadpanned, 'good for you then, lix.'

heyy, don't speak to my little sunshine like-' changbin cut himself off, his eyes widening as he turned towards felix, glancing at me and back at him.

i held my hand to my mouth, staring at them agape, as i burst out laughing. 'changbin, WHAT did you just call felix?!!'

felix was full on blushing now, hiding his face behind changbin's shoulder as the older stuttered out, 'n-nothing! i it's just a nickname for h-him!'

'but you called felix YOURS!' i stared at them as i grinned widely at them. i continued, 'you guys have been hiding something from me~'

felix shyly came out from behind changbin's back, slowly sliding his hand on top of changbin's. they intertwined their fingers together, felix saying softly, 'what if i told you... me and changbin are dating?' they lifted their hands, showing off couple rings as they both giggled, looking at each other.

i gasped, touching the rings before saying, 'YAH, YOU GUYS ARE DATING!!' i took a breath, 'since when??'

felix hesitated for a bit before replying, 'since this thursday, but don't get it wrong, we're just dating and figuring it out now... we're not a couple-'

'yet.' changbin cut in, a smirk playing on his lips as he pecked felix's forehead and proceeded to-

'okay... guys... let's calm down, you've got an extra pair of eyes and ears here...' i said, separating them with my apple pencil.

felix ducked his head while changbin just hooked an arm protectively around the flustered younger.

i smiled, 'congratulations, lovebirds! you guys are my best friends and i'm happy for you two.'

the pair smiled warmly at me, before felix bent over our shared literature book and continued revising the literary devices and techniques used in shakespeare's famous playbook, 'romeo and juliet'.

i usually enjoyed listening to felix theorize different endings for the play, or identifying unique literary devices in the book. we always competed in who could highlight the most at the end of each study session, but i just let myself slip into the thoughts that have been haunting me the past two days.

'ah, i've found one. look, as romeo fights for his future with juliet...' felix was speaking, but his voice suddenly faded and seemed so distant. everything started to blur together and everyone's actions were in slow motion, like i got sucked really far back into my own world. i knew i had to come back, but i was too tired fighting my mind...
