Tom and Soleil meet again in the small recording studio she's using for the meantime, the actor entering the building a few minutes after Soleil so to not raise suspicion.
When Soleil sees Tom, she greets him with a hug, the scent of her perfume infiltrating his senses. His heart skips a beat, and Tom finds it hard to believe that he's only started talking to this girl only 2 weeks ago. He's not one to move particularly fast, and especially not one to move fast with a girl that he'd met online first, before in person.
But Soleil is different. In a good way.
Asides from the fact that she's so stunning to the point where Tom finds himself accidentally spacing out because he's too busy admiring her features every so often, she's incredibly smart and talented. He can see it in the way her pen scratches the notepad she's writing on, scribbling lyrics on the page to form a beautiful melody that he just knows will wow everybody when they hear it for the first time.
If Tom Blyth didn't know that he had a type before, then he definitely does know now.
She looks at him, with tired eyes - Tom assumes that she must've woken up early today. "It's nice to see you again." She then looks at her own clothing, dressed in a pair of trackpants and a tank top, before looking at Tom, who's wearing a dress shirt and jeans. He's definitely more dressed up than she is, and she buries her face in her hands.
"Gosh, I'm so sorry - I feel like I haven't dressed well enough. You look so nice, and I look like I've just rolled out of bed." she says, feeling slightly embarrassed. Tom shakes his head, flashing her a smile. "Don't be sorry, Sol. You still look lovely."
Her cheeks heat up with a pink flush, and Tom's smile gets wider at her reaction. "Thank you," she says.
Soleil's seen Tom every day for the past 3 days, and she finds herself very grateful for Yumi insisting that she should message him. Tom's kind, intriguing, and the most wonderful person she thinks she's had the pleasure of coming across. Soleil thinks it's hard not to fall in love with Tom Blyth, with his icy blue eyes and his dazzling smile.
Oh, and his acting skills - Soleil was absolutely mesmerised when she saw him on the screen. She couldn't have imagined a better person to play Coriolanus Snow. She didn't forget to tell him that over and over after she finished watching the film, gushing over how perfect he was as he sat there, cheeks flushed and mumbling 'thank yous' every few seconds.
"I finished the song. I was hoping that you'd like to listen to it." she says, and Tom nods eagerly as he sits beside her on the couch. "I did listen to the little bit that you played yesterday. It already sounds perfect." he says, and Soleil chuckles, thanking him.
"Alright, here we go."
Soleil clicks play on the computer, Tom adjusting the headphones over his ears as he hears the sound of Soleil's voice. Her voice is beautiful, but Tom knows that already. The lyrics are absolutely wonderful, capturing the essence of the film - Tom knows that the producers did a perfect job by asking her to write the song for the film.
He finds it hard to believe that she wrote this in just a few days.
When the song ends, Tom takes off the headphones, as Soleil looks at him nervously, chewing on her lower lip. "It's perfect," he says, in awe. "It's absolutely perfect."
The nervous look on Soleil's face quickly turns into one of relief, and her eyes seem to sparkle. "Thank god," she says, letting out a sigh of relief. "I was so worried, because I really want this to be good."
"You don't have to worry about that. It's perfect - I know everyone's going to love it." Tom reassures her. A shy smile graces her lips, thanking him before she downloads the file, sending it to the producers, the cast and her managers. Tom notices the way Soleil's hair droops in front of her face as she looks down, her needing to brush her hair out of her face with her fingers.
Tom reaches out to brush her hair back for her. "Do you mind if I...?"
Soleil's cheeks heat up, pink dusting her cheeks again. She looks at him, her heart hammering in her chest. "No, I don't." she says, and she hands Tom her hairtie. "Thank you."
Tom smiles softly at her, tying her hair into a loose ponytail. He's concentrated on his task, tongue sticking out slightly and his brows furrowed as he loops the hairtie around her dyed blonde hair. He's so concentrated to the point where he doesn't notice that Soleil's already sent the email.
"There you go." he says, and Soleil turns to look at him. "Pretty."
It's like there's some force that's telling her to lean in, inch her face closer to his, and she does. Tom does too, and Soleil gently caresses his face with her hand. "Can I...?"
Tom nods, and Soleil's the one to close the gap, leaning in and pressing her lips to his. His hand moves up to cup her cheek, tasting the cherry-flavour of her lipstick. He lightly grazes her lower lip with his teeth, and she tilts her head slightly, allowing him to slip his tongue in.
Soleil doesn't know how she can live without this now. She's drowning in everything that is him, from the way his thumb strokes her cheek, to the way he lightly nips her lower lip with his teeth. Her heart is pounding in her chest, and Tom's is too.
All he knows is he wants to kiss her again, and again, and again. He's drunk on it, addicted to the way her lips feel on his - and it's only the first time. Tom thinks that he can get used to this happening often. No, he wants it to happen often.
When they pull away for air, Tom looks at her, face flushed and lips swollen. The sheen of her lip gloss and the pink colour from her lipstick stains his lips and the skin around it. She chuckles before wiping off the residue with the pad of her thumb.
She smiles, and his icy blue eyes crinkle into crescents before he leans in once more, connecting his lips to hers.
And as Tom kisses her again, Soleil knows that she wants to do this again, and again, and again.
