Jibanyan and The Truck (Mentor one-shot).

Jibanyan was on the streets once again, looking at an upcoming truck that was going straight towards him.

"This time, I won't nyalose!" Jibanyan roared, getting ready to unleash his most powerful Paws of Fury.

On the sidelines, Nate and Whisper were watching the whole thing unfold.

"Whisper, what are the chances of Jibanyan winning this time?" Nate asked his totally competent Yo-kai butler.

Whisper, who was recording Jibanyan with his Yo-kai Cam, looked at Nate. "I would say his chances are a near one percent."

Nate grew concerned...

Sure, Jibanyan has never won any truck encounter, but there were times that Jibanyan would put up a decent fight. In terms of a decent fight, Jibanyan would last about 15 seconds instead of 5.

This will be the twentieth truck that Jibanyan has faced this month, will he put up a decent fight, or will he last for five seconds?

Nate's answer came as Jibanyan launched his Paws of Fury at the truck. Jibanyan was actually putting up a decent fight this time before getting launched into space by the truck.

"So how many seconds was this time Whisper?" Nate questioned.

"He did break his record, only by a second, though." Whisper looked at the footage he recorded.

"I know Jibanyan does not want us to post the video online due to embarrassment, but lasting 16 seconds from a very fast truck is quite impressive."

"What do you mean, Whisper?" Nate questioned.

"What I am saying is if we post this video online, there could be Yo-kai like Sergeant Burly help train Jibanyan so he could finally beat the truck."

"This could work...alright, Whisper, post the video on Kai-tube." 

Several minutes later...

Nate, Jibanyan, and Whisper were all back in Nate's house, doing their own thing in Nate's bedroom. 

"Aww, man, I didn't beat the truck." Jibanyan frowned. "How do I suppose to get my revenge if I am too weak to take down a truck."

"I have a solution to your problem, Jibanyan." Whisper chimed in. 

"What solution?" Jibanyan looked at Whisper in confusion.

"The footage I recorded from today's truck encounter, I post it online." 

"YOU DID WHAT?" Jibanyan grabbed Whisper by his swirl tail. "DO YOU KNOW WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? ALL YO-KAI WILL BE LAUGHING AT ME!!" Jibanyan turned into a pile of dust.

"Actually, it is quite the opposite." Whisper said.

The pile of dust reformed back into a normal Jibanyan. "What?"

"I am looking through the comment section, there are many Yo-kai who want to help you take down the truck, I declined many due to their inspirits that cause more harm than good, but I found a Yo-kai that would work." Whisper explained.

"Who is it then?" Jibanyan asked.

Whisper, sensing a nearby Yo-kai aura, pointed to the window. "Here's your answer."

Jibanyan looked to where Whisper is pointing at and his eyes widened.

He expected Sergeant Burly or Nekispeed, but Venoct of all Yo-kai?

Venoct opened the window and went inside. "Hello."

"VENOCT?! You are the one who is going to help me defeat that truck?" Jibanyan questioned.
