'Are you scared of what's to come?'
- Broken, Isak Danielson
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••Maybe I should've decided to call someone before heading out of town in the middle of the night. I left a note for Giagiá she shouldn't worry and anyway the others are all at the school sitting some type of exam.
I reach the familiar lookout spot on the top of the hill before making my way into the parking lot and parking in the spot with the best view.
Ever since I came back to beacon hills Ive picked up the habit of taking off in the middle of the night and just coming to this particular spot. Giagiá never notices when I leave cause she sleeps like a rock and I'm always back by the time she gets up.
As I stare out at the birds-eye view of beacon hills I begin to get lost in thoughts of the last few days.
My history? What is my history? A family with Greek ancestors that lived in beacon hills until we left. What did we leave for?
My mother was a prophet and my dad a werewolf. That still doesn't help me understand why we even left in the first place. My parents weren't the only ones of their kind in the two so they weren't forced out.
It has to be something way more than they just wanted a change. My parents grew up around here, they wouldn't leave this place. Dad wouldn't have left Giagiá willingly, something must've forced them to move away.
I begin to lean back into my car seat as I stare up at the stars in the night sky from the skylight. My eyes begin to feel heavy as I drift off into sleep.
Most teenagers would say that sleep is their favourite time of day, I hate it. Whenever I sleep I always get these really vivid dreams that are either past memories or the future, and what i see always comes true.
Ive never told anyone about this because I'm scared that if i admit it people will begin to think that I'm insane and send me to an asylum. I do not want that.
I see a oldish town with dull colours, the cobblestones have turned a yellow shade and the weeds are in desperate need for a trimming.
There are also buildings around that look like they're struggling on not falling over. As I look down a pathway the walls of the buildings have small drops of red on them.
Is it blood or has someone just dropped a paint bucket?
I follow the red spots, the spots grow the more I walk until I come across a dead body of a man with his chest clawed out.
I step over him and continue to walk down the pathway, as I get further along there are more bodies.
A bone shaking howl then flows from the end of the walkway, it shakes the whole town around me and I have to hold on to make sure I don't fall on my ass.
I look up from the piles of bodies to find an even bigger pile of bodies in the distance with a man standing on top of the pile, the man who must be a werewolf and was the one who howled.
The man holds a girl in his arms before ripping out her vocal cords with his fangs and dropping her into the pile of dead bodies.
"Declan" a female voice calls from behind me. I turn to find a young red haired woman making her way across the blood stained cobblestones. I continue to stare at the woman and realise she looks very similar to my mother. Could it be?
