'I betcha you would have done the same'
- Cell Block Tango, Mya
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••Stiles rushes into the school with his wrench in hand as he runs along the hallways trying to get away from Donovan.
Donovan stalks the high school while Stiles sprints in the direction of the library. Stiles buzzing himself in, panting for breath.
The doors to the library buzz as they let Donovan through. Stiles panics and goes to hide down one of the aisles of books. His cell phone begins to buzz, giving away his location to Donovan. Stiles pats his pockets and realises he's dropped his phone somewhere in the library.
"You dropped your phone" Donovan announces as he picks up Stiles' phone from the floor. "It's Malia. Should I text her back?" Stiles sighs to himself as he tries to steady his heavy breaths.
"You don't really know who I am, do you, Stiles?" Donovan calls out as he looks around the library, still struggling to locate Stiles. "Maybe you heard about my father. Did your dad tell you about him? Did Sheriff Stilinski ever tell you about the time he was still deputy, and how his partner got caught in a shoot-out? Did he tell you a bullet shattered my dad's T-9 vertebra?"
"Went through his spinal cord. Know what that means? It means everything below his waist is useless. And not just his legs. I bet he told you some of it. But I bet he probably left out the part where he was sitting in a car calling for backup while my dad was going in alone. Did he tell you he was too scared, too much of a frightened little bitch, to go in after him? Or do scared little bitches not tell their little bitch sons about their failures? About how they put their partner in a wheelchair for the rest of his life?"
Stiles tries to resist the urge of talking back to Donovan because of him disrespecting his father. Donovan begins to climb the staircase, Stiles ducks behind a bookshelf, hoping Donovan doesn't see him from above.
Stiles slowly begins to move, trying to subtly make his way out of the library. He leans against a bookshelf as he tries to listen for movement. Silence.
A hand reaches out from the other side of the bookshelf, gripping Stiles' throat, pulling Stiles through. Stiles drops the wrench as Donovan puts him into a headlock and tries to strangle him.
Donovan shoves Stiles against the scaffolding, Stiles grips onto the scaffolding and elbows Donovan in the face.
Donovan lets go of him and groans as he tumbles backwards. Stiles begins to climb the scaffolding. Donovan grips onto Stiles' leg, "Don't worry, Stiles. I'm not gonna kill you. I'm just gonna eat your legs!"
Stiles turns back to see the terrifying look in Donovan's eyes, and the rows of fangs that have appeared in his mouth.
Stiles fights to climb higher as Donovan still grips onto his legs. Stiles looks above him and notices a pin. Stiles reaches up as he continues to climb and grips onto the pin pulls it out, dropping down the layer of scaffolding.
The door to the library buzzes open and Atlas rushes inside to watches as the pieces of scaffolding fall from the structure and one impales itself straight through Donovan's chest.
Blood splashes out of his mouth as Atlas stares in horror. Stiles pants for breath before he can look across the library at the younger boy.
