(Y/N) watched Jeff as she ate at a much slower pace now than the hasty approach she took earlier. He stood with his back turned towards her. He was leaned against the porch fence and his coal black hair swayed in the breeze peacefully. This was the calmest she ever saw him, and it was quite a nice change if she could say so.

He was seemingly entranced by the forest surrounding the house, just as she was entranced with watching him. (Y/N) wanted to know how to make him tick. How to convince him to let her go.

The (H/C) girl discarded the empty bowl into the sink and headed over to the porch. Jeff turned his head slowly at the sound of the sliding door opening and closing. "What are you doing here?" he grumbled. (Y/N) raised an eyebrow at his tone. His attitude always changed so fast.

(Y/N) leaned herself next to Jeff by the porch, not too close and not too far, "This is my place for the foreseeable future too, isn't it?" she questioned.

"Guess so." Jeff grunted.

The pairs eyes shifted to the dense forest ahead. The trees were tall and browning slightly due to the cool autumn weather. The air felt crisp and the girl inhaled the fresh oxygen deeply. "How did you find this place anyway? Seems like a real gem in the middle of nowhere." (Y/N) felt a twinge of nervousness whenever she was around the man. Inevitable but she needed to gain his trust and if getting closer to him is what it takes then she will take that chance.

"I was wandering for a long time. 4 years to be exact before I came across this place sometime last year. Before that I hopped between various houses, mostly abandoned ones though." Jeff's eyes remained on the woods, but his jaw tensed ever so slightly.

"Damn.." (Y/N) parted her lips in shock, "So does that mean you um.. you've been a killer for 5 years now?"

Jeff shifted his head towards her, exposing his scarred smile. (Y/N) swallowed. "Yeah, about that long," he laughed slightly, "You impressed or something?"

"Shocked would be the better term. I don't know how you survived that long on the run." (Y/N) shook her head in disbelief, (E/C) fixated on the man before her.

Jeff propped his head up on his fist, arm lazily thrown over the fence, "Trust me girly, I am very capable" he boasted. (Y/N) nodded, not doubting him considering he was standing in front of her in flesh and blood.

"Moving through the states helps get the cops off your back. For a while at least." Jeff hummed wistfully. (Y/N) blinked, head brimming with curiosity. "You travelled the country.." she mumbled.

Jeff laughed shortly, "Yeah I wouldn't say being a serial killer on the run is considered travelling." he smirked. (Y/N) blushed in embarrassment and gave a shy smile, "I guess so.."

The wind picked up slightly, causing her (H/C) hair to flutter in the breeze, "How did you end up being a serial killer anyway?" she asked, a small bubble of confidence erupting within her. However, her breath hitched in her throat when she saw the piercing glare of Jeff's icy blue eyes, an overly fake grin enveloping his features. "I don't think you need to know about that."

(Y/N)'s eyes widened and she began playing with her fingers anxiously, "I'm.. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to.." she stammered and her blush deepened, this time from nervousness. Jeff relaxed slightly and nodded. (Y/N) chose to look towards the forest again, cursing herself internally for overstepping. Risking her life was something she didn't need right now.

A couple minutes of silence breezed by and the wind was really beating it down now. (Y/N) shivered visibly and wrapped her arms around herself, preserving any heat she could. Jeff side glanced her, now cooled off from the little incident that occurred. "Cold?" he questioned. (Y/N) threw him a look and muttered, "Duh.." before looking up at the trees again.

"Here." (Y/N) turned to look at Jeff and saw his outstretched arm holding his hoodie out to her. He now only had a black t-shirt on that hugged his torso a little too well. Unaware she was ogling him, he snapped his fingers with his other hand in front of her face, "Take a picture, it will last longer. You want it?" he smirked, extending the hoodie out further.

(E/C) eyes snapped up to Jeff's mischievous ones and hesitantly reached for the hoodie. Holding it out in front of her, she saw some faint red stains and it was noticeably worn and old, but despite all that, she put it on. Slipping it on, she smoothed it out and admired the way it lay on her.

"Thank you.." she said, feeling the cold fade away being replaced by the warmth of the hoodie. Pink blush swept across her face from the surprisingly kind gesture from this cold hearted killer. Looking up at the ebony haired man, she saw he was already staring at her, blue eyes scanning her body. "Um, Jeff?"

Jeff quickly looked away, "Uh yeah, no problem," he said casually, "Just don't get it dirty."

"It's not like it's the cleanest thing right now." the girl scoffed. Jeff crossed his arms and pretended to be offended, "Yeah right! It's clean as fuck."

(Y/N) laughed, eyes creasing in genuine amusement and her (E/C) hues sparkled in the sunlight. "Ha ha so funny." Jeff mocked, but also let slip a small smile, stretching his cut one a little higher than usual.

Breathing in, (Y/N) exhaled the last of her laughter and suddenly remembered something she had to ask Jeff. "Hey speaking of," she started, "I need more clothes. I've been wearing the same shit since I got here."

"No wonder you stink like ass." Jeff wafted a hand across his nose jokingly. (Y/N) crinkled her brows and slapped him slightly on the arm, "Shut up!"

Snorting, Jeff conceded and raised his hands up, "I'll get you some clothes." he smirked.

"Thank you," she nodded, "But from where? My parents are definitely back home by now. Probably haven't really left since I disappeared."

Jeff looked at the concerned girl, finding amusement in her genuine wonder. "I have my ways," his pale, rough hand patted the girls shoulder a couple times and began walking back into the house, "Run my hoodie through the washing machine when you're done, will you? Don't want your stink tainting it."

With one last smug grin, the black haired man left the girl behind on the porch and disappeared into the large house.

"What a dick."
