The next morning (Y/N) awoke to a fresh smell wafting past her nose and lingering in the air. Crinkling her nose and sleepily opening her eyes, she peered to the foot of her bed where she found a stack of clothes. They weren't folded neatly by any means, but the effort of someone trying to, clearly showed in the haphazard mess of wrinkles and half bad folds.
Sitting up straight, she swatted through the piles. Half of them she recognized to be hers, various jeans and tops she worn and loved, as well as embarrassingly, a messy pile of her underwear. Cheeks reddening, (Y/N) shifted her eyes to the other clothes which she didn't recognize. Despite this, a small smile adorned her face as she realized Jeff got these for her.
"Finally fresh clothes." she beamed, grabbing most of her own clothes but deciding to pick a top from the unfamiliar pile to change into.
Sauntering into the bathroom, (Y/N) stripped from her dirty clothes and hopped into the shower. The water ran down her back soothingly and (Y/N) couldn't be more excited to put on clean clothes for the first time in a few days. The grime melted off her skin and into the drain and she felt peaceful.
After finishing the rest of her bathroom routine, she threw on her clothes swiftly and admired herself in the mirror. Grinning, she ran her hands down herself, pleased with how good she felt. (Y/N) didn't notice how gross her old clothes had become until she wore the fresh ones. Leaving the bathroom, she collected the ditched clothes and picked up Jeff's hoodie on the way out of the room.
(Y/N) made a pit stop to the laundry room, discarding the garments and turning the machine on, before skipping down the stairs. Jeff was nowhere in sight. (Y/N) shrugged and entered the kitchen to pick up an apple, deciding she wasn't super hungry.
Dropping herself on the couch, she bit into the apple. It was juicy yet crisp and (Y/N) couldn't help but sigh in enjoyment. A chuckle caused her to look away from her delicious snack and at the perpetrator stealing her attention. Her (E/C) fell on Jeff standing a few feet away from her, adorning his usual monochrome attire. (Y/N) wondered how many white hoodies he owned.
"Enjoying yourself? It's only been a few days since our game and you already settled in as if this house was yours." Jeff chuckled.
(Y/N) scoffed, "This house isn't yours either if you didn't realize. Besides, you told me I can roam as I please. It's not like I'm trying to escape or anything (yet)." She didn't say the last part out loud but definitely thought it.
Jeff plopped himself near (Y/N) on the couch, leg grazing hers as he did. (Y/N) ignored the jolt that zapped her heart. "Might as well be my house," he snorted, "Don't forget you're my pet before you get too comfortable."
(Y/N) cocked her eyebrow up in confusion. He hadn't acted like she was that yesterday, or the day before for that matter. "Weird you haven't treated me that way yet." she claimed.
Jeff narrowed his eyes, a hard feat when you lack eyelids. "You sound like you want me to start."
(Y/N) raised her hands hastily and shook her head, "No, never," she blurted out, "It's just it's starting to feel like we are roommates." Admittedly, the moment those words left her mouth, she felt silly. He still had the upper hand with her. He was able to turning her insides into outsides at any moment. Her cheeks were painted red with embarrassment.
To her surprise, Jeff sucked in a breath and laughed loudly. His blackened rings around his icy eyes squinted as hard as they could during his manic fit of hyena laughter. (Y/N) didn't think it was that amusing as she fiddled with her sleeves. "I don't hurt my animals," he jeered, "Now fetch, dog."
He pointed to a coke that stood on the counter and (Y/N) recoiled from the dehumanization. She didn't know if he was joking or not but his pale hand being tucked away with his trusted knife didn't fill her with a sense of comfort.
