CONTINUITY NOTE: story occurs approximately six years after Alec came to Broadchurch, two years after the Three Ladies Murders in Los Angeles. Life is much the same for Alec and Ellie, because that's how they want it. Their team at the Broadchurch Police Department has been upgraded to a separate unit, the Investigative Team. They take cases that are either unsolvable, or are too unusual for local departments to handle. The twenty-person Investigative Team is in huge demand, and garner great respect, despite their occasionally unusual methods.
PLOT NOTE: I know nothing of English geography, so I picked a name and distance and went with it.
PLOT NOTE 2: Radio lingo is an educated guess based on knowledge of American radio lingo.

Tom Miller: son of Ellie and Joe Miller, seventeen years old.

Reggie Lindbergh: substitute leader of Scene of Crime Officers while Brian is on holiday in Rome.
Nish Patel: longtime member of Investigative Team, specializing in office management and resource coordination.
Frank Williams: former member of the Investigative Team who moved down to patrol officer to avoid graphic cases. Found the murder victim, and returned to the team during the subsequent case.
Eleanor, Charlotte, Keisha, Margie, Kate, Trista, Bob Daniels, Jameson,Jessica: members of Broadchurch Investigative Team.
